This is what I'm thinking....my dress is the colour of this one: champagne. And we've discussed him wearing a champagne tie too! The thing is, I don't think he's willing to wear a vest, but I'm working on it....
To the person who voted, is he wearing a black suit and a white shirt and black tie! That's sharp!
If mine gets his way he will be wearing a black suit, white shirt and black tie. I love this look too, but our wedding is fairly casual so I think he would look better in a light brown or grey suit with pastel coloured shirt and patterned pastel coloured tie.
@simpleandchic Well, who cares! Let him wear what you both want! You should both shine! (;
I have no idea what he'll be wearing, other than grey suit/tux. I've left his attire totally up to him, and I don't really want to know what he chooses until the day of. If he has to wait to see me in my outfit, I see no reason why I should get to see him in his. He's also choosing what our groomsmen and bridesman wear, but I'll get to see that beforehand.
He is wearing a black tux with an ivory vest and tie, however, he does not like the sound of this so he might be in a red tie and vest when we go look next weekend. The groomsmen are in a brown tie and vest.
he'll be wearing an ivory tie, ivory shirt and khaki colored slacks. (he calls them slacks.) i'm wearing an ivory dress so he wanted to match. i wanted him in pink, our main color, but he wasn't going for that so ivory it is. our guys are wearing the same outfit with a yellow tie, i couldn't be mean and make them spend money on a pink tie that they'll never wear again, they're not pink guys either. for some reason i had no problem doing that with my fi!
White shit, black tux, fushia tie, for both he and his groomsmen and my dad
Wow I am actually surprised that the majority so far are wearing black ties. Is that with black suits too?
My dress has a black sash on it and he's going to wear a black fitted suit with a black satin tie and a crisp white shirt.
DH and his groomsmen wore an orange tie with a small pattern to it. He wore a black suit, white shirt.
FI and all the boys will be wearing brown suits. FI will probaly be wearing an orange (burnt orange) shirt with the champagne tie and vest. Boys will do ivory shirts with the orange vests and ties.
Mine will wear white because my dress is white. If the groom is wearing white/champagne/ivory, it's the same color as the bride's dress.
My husband wore a black suit, and ivory shirt, and a light pink tie.
Black suit and ivory tie. Not sure if I'm going to be able to talk him into the vest. We'll see.
we haven't looked for suits just yet but are planning on finding my FI and his groomsmen black suits and black ties.
i really hope M will wear a blue tie to bring out the blue in his eyes (they are normally green but can change depending on the color of his clothes)... and perhaps a champagne vest and a darker colored suit. if he chooses a navy suit, then he could definitely wear a champagne or ivory colored tie/vest if he chooses.. lol... i dunno!! i guess after i get the ring i'll come back and decide, but this is what we have loosely discussed..
@arizonabride I can't convince my FI to wear a vest either! And it doesn't help that his mom says it doesnt go...

My fiance and I are considering what colour tie he should wear at the wedding. So I was wondering, what colour tie did/is yours wear(ing)?
