@Soon2beMrsB2014: which color do you think he’ll like? I like both of them!
What’s the undertone of his skin? His eye color/hair color?

he deffintly prefers the orange
he’s very dark-dark eyes and dark hair!
We’re getting married in Thailand and his suit will be beige?

you’re right, I don’t think they match. That orange is a bit off from the dresses.
It’s a shade off, I think? Ugh, so hard to do this online! Wish we could see these in person, right? 🙂 Does your local bridal shop have a swatch so you can see in person?
I think that with the pink/raspberry stripe down the middle of the bridesmaid dresses, I think the pinkish color would probably look better, and the wedding party isn’t overwhelmed with the orange. But who really will notice/care? Like you said, it’s your FI’s wedding too 🙂 Maybe a good compromise would be a rose in that hot pink for a boutoneirre to help balance the color scheme if you did an orange tie?
P.S. I love those dresses! I would rewear that dress if I was your BM.

i Know! That’s what I was thinking! I have had a look at the swatches but the dress is in chiffon and the ties would be in silk!? So it’s like a totally different colour again!!!! Haha!
I am leaning more towards the orange as it isn’t as dark in person!
i think Im just going to take the “risk” haha!
thank you! I love them as they are so different to what I’ve seen before and the girls look great in them!

@Soon2beMrsB2014: Awesome! I really really really hope you post a recap when your wedding comes!

I prefer coral. There are tones of coral which look less ”pinkish” than others, maybe it’ll look more masculine to your FI ?

- Wedding: September 2014 - Banff, Alberta
I think the pink color as it is the accent color on the dress and orange is the main color.

@Soon2beMrsB2014: I would recommend taking one of your bridesmaid’s dresses with you and shop around for ties this way – this is what I’ll be doing. At least you’ll have a better chance of matching colours exactly the way you want, and you might even like a completely different colour that you wouldn’t have even considered to begin with.
Also, if you are torn between two colours, you could always have your husband wear a different tie to the groomsmen, which would make him stand out a bit more.

Tuxedos or suits? But, in any case, whatever your FI thinks looks best. Boys are dressed by their parents. Men dress themselves.

for all your advice bees!!! Why does this have to be so stressful? Haha
@Duncan the boys are wearing this, the problem is that we are getting the suits made out in Thailand!! So I won’t get to see them untill a few days before the wedding!!!

@Soon2beMrsB2014: I voted the Dessy Ginger as I love the colour, depends on which one you prefer to be more dominant. As a PP said, I’m unsure if the the orange would go though. I do like the striped ones you posted above, I love this look when other bees have done it, it creates a softer look.

Here is a radical thought. Select the ties to suit the outfit they are a part of, rather than to match the dresses like handbags.

If you hubby likes the orange I would do the orange. The ties are never going to be right up against the dresses and the dresses variate in color. Both would look good.
