There are several cool things I have learned about from weddingbee:

    lululemon

    menstrual cups

    good car-buying tips

    slickdeals

What awesome things have you found on weddingbee?

Moissanite. So pretty, and I want some.

I was not alone and crazy during my "waiting" stage. Wish I'd found this board then.

People care much less about veil-length etiquette than I thought. If I'd known, I would've gotten a longer one.

Maggie Sottero is a big deal.

    Dyed crinolines!

@Meowkers: Haha, yes there is. Traditionally, the length of your veil corresponds with the formality and time of day of your wedding. Cathedral is reserved for the most formal. I wanted one, but with a 1:30 wedding, I would've felt silly. Not that you have to follow the etiquette! I just like to.

@Miss Sorbet: DIAMOND CANDLES! I told so many people and they all thought it was the best idea...I'm sure WB has brought them some business!

Also, pretty much every idea I got for my wedding originated from the Bee. It taught me how to wedding plan! People were impressed I planned it on my own, but little did they know I had a whole hive of advisors :)

-That seating charts are commonplace... I thought they were just for fancy schmancy affairs!

    - that my DIY rustic/down home wedding is actually NOT that original or unique ( although most of my wedding guests will think I am super creative and not know where I got it all... the Bee!)

    - It has expanded my views on what I like as far as wedding dresses/ring/accessories SO much... it is one thing to like something in a magazine, but putting a person in it ad their touch makes me go , " I never knew I liked that!"

    - getting peoples opinions on things my FI would just shrug his shoulders at and say " looks good"

    - good tips on things like parenting( not a parent), home ownership ( I rent an apt), pet stories ( we don't even have a fish)... and my new fav beauty secret.. Bag Balm!

Moissanite! I have never heard of it before joining, and I was originally looking into white sapphire, but I like Moissy better for some reason.

@sweetpea87: ah ok I guess that makes sense.  I never knew about this though.  I wore a cathedral length veil for my wedding. It just so happens that it was a black tie, evening affair.

@sweetpea87: I didn't know that, either! I am wearing a cathedral veil for my evening wedding... but it isn't black tie.. I just liked it! I am wearing a flower on the side for the reception

    What Weddingbee has taught me:

That bees are amazing people who will ALWAYS be there to support and inspire me.

    A zillion things about rings.

    Diamond candles.

That wedding things are craaaazy expensive.

    Wedding etiquette.

That someone will always be offended, no matter what you do or say.

I'm sure there's plenty more that my brain can't produce at the moment.

Moissanite - I never heard about it until the Bee

Wedding Etiquette - I had no idea

And that maybe I am actually 'the marrying kind' (I always said I didn't see the point)- Probably the best lesson learned from my SO's point of view

during my wedding i got a ton of tips. in general, i didn't know how many wedding thigns i could find online and so i found a lot of great websites to use to buy stuff.

I also learned about moissanite and etsy. I wish i knew about moissanites before i got engaged and chose a ring, but oh well.

One thing that was a big part of my wedding and i LOVED was the wine box ceremony. Would not have done that if not for the bee and everyone at my wedding told me they thought it was so great and unique.

non-wedding related, hmmm. I have about this pininterest thing, but have yet to join. I can't think of anything else, but i know there are little things here and there.
