Hun, it's your wedding and it's the most important day of you and your future husbands life, so dance to the one you want!
Your wedding should reflect who you two are, not what people expect at a wedding. In years to come, you want to remember your first dance as a beautiful momet that you and your partner shared together. If some of your guests are sitting there going 'What the heck are they dancing to?' then so be it! It's your day, the first dance is your special moment, so do what feels best for you and your man.

PS. I voted for Nickelback because it's soft enough for a first dance and it's the most meaningful to you two.
@BerryBerry: It's not that I'm worried about the audience but the nickelback song sounds like it changes...tempo? Like all of a sudden wed have to start dancing faster. Ha ha.
Theres also a softer acoustic version of the second song. Which also has quite a cute video. ^_^

@AngelKitten713: Definitely go with the one that has meaning to you! Can you find an acoustic version of the Nickelback song? Or maybe when it changes tempo, you could have your DJ invite all the couples to the dance floor (or he could just cut the song a bit short, I know that my DJ said he could fade a first dance song for us and cut it so we didn't have to be out there for 5-6 min if we didn't want to be).
ETA: I just listened to the Papa Roach song, and I actually think the Nickelback song would be easier to dance to.
Me and My finance are getting married on Feb. 18th and we are dancing to "No Matter What" from Papa Roach....we were going to dance to a country song like Lonstar or Tim McGraw and Faith Hill...but i started thinking that those songs were already overrated....so I decided to go with a song that we both like and that goes with us...I like country music but my finance doesnt listen to much...We both love alternative music and love going to concerts together......I thought this song was perfect for our first dance even though its a little fast at some parts but im going to try and make is work.... when i played it for him he said Yes right away :) Im a little worried of my guest because I was born and raised with Spanish music...but I thought about it and said who cares what they think ..I want my dance to show who we are .
I think you should go with which ever song you both like and agree on and which one fits your love for each other
I personally vote for Papa Roach -- No Matter What

The first song here is my fiance and I's song, but I think it might not be good for the first dance so thats why we're also looking at the second. Any help is very appreciated. :)
