It was for me! It was also the one day I didn't want to deliver due to a friend of mine sending me that stupid "Wednesday's child is full of woe" poem.
Both my daughters were born on Thursdays (they were both induced)
I delivered on a Tuesday, but our hospital said their busiest days of the week are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Also, our l&d ward was filled up only a couple hours after we arrived! They actually had to move some women up a floor in the hospital because they didn't have enough labor and delivery rooms!
Tuesday night...I was an hour away from Wednesday. The baby room was pretty quiet Tuesday night but completely full by Thursday. I was due on a Sunday, but was induced the Tuesday before.
So strange, I've never heard that about Wednesdays before! FI and I won't be TTC for a while, but definitely interesting to keep in mind. My best friend had a baby a few weeks ago and delivered on a Wednesday!
Oh gosh if the Wednesday thing is true, the day before my due date is Wednesday Feb 29th! Leap day! Hoping to avoid it.. going to keep my fingers crossed for a baby that is a few days late instead :)
I had a 'scheduled' c-section on a Tuesday, which was also my due date
I was supposed to have munchkin on a monday his actual due date was a monday but since he was 7 weeks early he came on a saturday
@AvantLaLettre: lol My due date is the 19th. The doctor said she won't let me go past the 28th. I may go to the hospital on the 27th to be safe (if I don't go into labor by then).
@heathaah: is wednesday the most popular day for scheduled births or just all births?
Yeah, I was wondering if the poll results would be different if scheduled births were excluded. (No offense to those who had to be or chose to be scheduled.)
we went in monday night..baby arrived late tuesday afternoon.. she was due the following sunday
I had my daughter on a Saturday morning. It worked out perfect because I took her home the next morning which happened to be Easter that year so she was all decked out in her Easter dress (which I,of course had bought just in case she was born before Easter, lol). She was born 4 days before her original due date. Not induced, I went into labor late Friday night.
@bells: I have no idea. I read it off a bookmark my insurance company sent with a congratulations letter!
@7-9-11bride: My baby is due 4 days after Easter 2012! I got her bunny pajamas just in case!!
My baby was born on a Tuesday :) But I was scheduled to be induced the next day, a Wednesday, if she didn't come on her own ;)
@StaceyMay81: It was no picnic! I was so excited that pushing only took 20 minutes because I was done.
That's interesting, both my husband and I were Wednesday babies!
I went into labor Thursday morning and had her Friday afternoon. She was two weeks early! My due date was on a Wednesday if that counts. haha

I just read something that said that Wednesdays were the most popular day of the week to be born on. I am wondering if this is true for the mommas on here?
