    @misschickpea: That's awesome!

I'm getting my dress from a discount store online, $300.

Our venue is a restored historic bar in town and FI's great-grandpa used to own it... we're getting for $600. (the bar is now a reception hall with kitchen and bar also. lol.)

I got my chargers on sale for $.53 for 1.  I had some $15 dollar off a $15 dollar purchase coupons so I got some free stuff from Micheals that way. By far the best deal I have gotten so far was when my venue quoted me the wrong price for the venue.  They gave me the Sunday 4hr price instead of the reception price and when they realized it they still let me have it for the wrong price!!  I didn't have to beg or cry or anything.  The guy just said that it was his mistake so he won't go back on his word.  If it was the reception price I wouldn't have been able to afford it.  Yay!!

I got my reception dress which is a designer wedding gown sheath from Nordstrom's Last Chance store for $14 and negotiated a little over a $1000 off my photographer/videographer. I bought my BMs dresses for $50 on cybermonday from J.Crew, normally $225. =)

Yay bargain hunting, those are some smoking deals!

Centerpieces made from dollarama and Ikea, for me.

Shopped around for ages for flowers and got a much better price, after I was considering no flowers!

Did table runners, giant swag behind the ceremony site and head table swag for $30, with fabric from Fabricland.

Hair and makeup for 4 of us, plus makeup for my mom - $315 total.

Last week I bought patterns for the Jr. BM's & FG dresses along with fabric at JoAnnes (the patterns were on sale for $.99 and the fabric was 30% off but their special occasion fabric is never on sale...  and got a 30% off my total order to use for this week.

Yesterday I bought 10 shepards hooks (4.99 regular) for closer to $2.50 each!  I also bought a bunch of glass pearl beads to use for wristlets and a normally $20 stamp...  all for a little bit less than the price of what the shepards hooks would have cost normally! My mom and I were excited!

my two greatest savings achievements to date:

first, we got a groupon for Wedit videography (http://www.wedit.com) for only $200.

second, i bought my simone carvalli dress for 75% off! at a bridal store that is going out of business !  i could have never afforded a new simone carvalli...luckily the sample i found fit me like a glove.  this also means i will most likely spend very little on alterations!

I am doing my wedding on 12-12-12!  Yes, on a Wednesday!   Our gorgeous venue by phone gave us one quote and in person when they found out it was a Weds night, they were so amazing and desperately ready to work with us.  We got a fantastic deal!  Normally they charge for bringing outside liquor -no charge.  Charge for cake cutting- no charge.  Charge 25% for service - no charge.   This is the same caterers for the Kardasians events and weddings including Kim's last event (wedding) so I did not expect this at all!  Our lighting costs $1000 but on a Weds it will be just $300!  It is crazy!  The best thing is staffing-- we have the venue until 3am if we wanted and with security.  The reception was going to be our largest expense and now we will definitely come in way under budget in Los Angeles and without trying at all! I think we can take TWO honeymoons now!

@tatyblue:  WOW!! That is awesome!! I'm in a very rural town so you're talking HUGE bucks lol. our whole wedding shouldn't cost us more than 2 grand. (: HOPEFULLY, and no honeymoon is included. Boo on that, oh well. There's always next year!

I bought my sample dress here in the wb classifieds for 95% off regular price.

My bracelet came from overstock & was heavily discounted (other jewelry gifted to me).

    DIY hair/makeup.

Ering is a hand-me-down family stone, so DH just paid for the setting.

Discount 40% off group rate w/ coupon for mani/pedi.

Wedding band is also from overstock, inexpensive plus I found a 30% off coupon code @ retailmenot.com

Went with tungsten for DH's band, bought from Amazon at around 75% less than a chain store wanted for it.

Used a friendor photog who charged us basically nothing.

DIY submerged orchids so I'd only need one or two stems per centerpiece-just ordered the stems from the florist that did my bouquet & ended up being 1/2 the cost of them making them for me.

Booked honeymoon early to cut back the room rates.

Made my own photobooks online, took advantage of a deal on adoramapix (highly reccommend!) to make our parent's books for $11.95 each!

(What I ended up saving I completely blew on my overpriced venue and food though Undecided)

My deal wasn't as good as yours, but I still though it was pretty good! $98 per BM dress including shipping tii Canada!

I also got the BMs' boots for really cheap off Ebay.

Our photography is a pretty good deal, a close friend of my FI who also happens to be extremely talented is doing our pictures!

My dress was a good deal. I bought it second hand.

I'm doing my own makeup and my friend is doing my hair!

Also, my e-ring was a great deal... thanks moissanite! :)

My veil was $20.00 at a Thrift store. The headband portion of it has beautiful beading and the veil itself is two tiered, and easily covers my face ( one of the FI's few requests)

I always use retail me not before buying anything online. You never know what coupons you'll find! Also Orientaltrading usually has some great deals as well :)

@Brenut22:  how was your experience with dressilyme.com??

They have some great options on the site, but I'm kinda scared to order online... I have one of those body types where I usually have to try on EVERYTHING before I buy it smh. I'm glad they allow you to put in your measurements tho.

@Dimples723:  What I did was go to a bridal store, try on different types of dresses to see which one fits your body style, and trust me I have that kind of body too. You have to get a certain look for it to look good! Lol. But overall, I loved dressilyme.com they got me my dress by the date that we requested it and it was flawless!! I can upload a pic if you would like me to.

Okay here are my deals I came across so far. My 2nd dress I had to purchase (not using my first one) I bought on ebay for 159.xx (and its peach!!!).  Here's what it looks like: (NOTE the price is different, this is not the same seller I purchased my gown from but the exact same gown)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Peach-Spaghetti-Strap-Ball-Gown-Beach-Wedding-dresses-Bridal-Gowns-/170804536854?_trksid=m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7213643805903873059#ht_5671wt_1037

Im getting my 1 tier cathedral veil from valuveil.com for 21.99 including shipping and tax.

I just purchased my favors from orientaltrading.com for $20.49 for 72 guests (Im having 70)

I bought my petticoat from ebay as well for 27.30. I got my photobooth for $350 because they had a special. Im getting my photographer for $600 for 6 hrs. My venue is all inclusive. It covers everything (and I get to pick everything I want!!!) except the cake, photographer, officiant and flowers all for 3K including tax.

Im getting my flowers from wholeblossoms.com and DIY them. Its going to cost me $200 for 400 stems!!! The flowers are carnations but bunched together they are beautiful!

Getting my shoes from dsw.com for $50. And thats about all the deals I have so far.

Here are my deals so far!  A $2,000 cathedral length veil adorned with crystals and intricate embroidery for $29.99.  A $150 long line bra for $9.99.  A cathedral mantilla lace veil that retailed for $950 for $29.99 (I've decided to wear the crystal one on my wedding day).

Yesterday I just placed two orders with vistaprint using my $70 groupon credit that I purchased for $17 -- 200 "Thank you" notes that I designed to leave at each place setting and 2 prescription pads (with 50 sheets each).  I designed them to look like a doctor's prescription pad.  On the pad, it has my fiance and my name, our wedding date and city.. It has the Rx symbol and below it it says, Please share your prescription for a happy marriage! And our guests will fill out their name, and their prescription for a happy marriage!

Okay had to share a dirty little secret I found out and has been VERY helpful to me. I have found some VERY great deals for my vendors on craigslist. I am meeting with a new photographer (the first one never returned my calls or emails) and she is very sweet and responds immediately (seriously 30 mins or less!!!). Her name is Bethany and she is doing my photography for.... $400 for 6 hrs! She is new to the business and has done a few engagment/family/maternity photos and one other wedding. Honestly, just because they are new doesn't mean they are not good. I'm taking a risk (but seriously, those pics are VERY good) and giving a newbie a break! Also, I found a florist that's doing my flowers for about the same price I would have paid doing it myself. She has this business on the side. She is a bride as well and picked back up the extra work to be able to help pay for her wedding. Found a cake baker on there as well!!! She is doing my wedding cake for $150 and that feeds 65 guests! Her work is excellent!!! And lastly, I found a videographer for $50 and a limo ride for $75 for just the pick up and drop off. Not sure if I'm going to book those 2 just yet.

@lindseyl06:  That is amazing!!!! We aren't doing a limo or anything but that's a damn good deal!! I being a photographer, completely understand needing a chance, especially a newbie, like myself lol for all of us newbies out there, thanks! haha. hope you have a great day! let me know how it all turns out! (:
