As of right now I am undecided but am leaning towards business. What about you?
Nursing School here. I hope to get an advanced practice degree (NP, aka almost a doctor but not...it's complicated) and work internationally on the Mercy Ships/Doctors without borders kinda thing.
Edit: It's actually a Bachelors of Science-Nursing and the next one is a master’s level, Family Nurse Practitioner
BA in English with teaching licensure. Currently getting Master's in Instructional Technology. Can design training for education, corporate, or military applications, and provide business solutions. Can also become IT professor. lots of possibilities.
Hmm...I am graduating with a triple major in Broadcasting, Organizational Communication and Public Relations. I am attending grad school for a Masters in Journalism this fall. My goal is to teach at the university level. Schools seem to be hiring candidates who can "pitch hit", hence the multiple focuses. If I need to work in the field for a while, I would probably pursue PR/media relations with a non-profit or university.
After this semester I will be ~24 credits from my BA in Anthropology (General concentration so Cultural) with a Minor in Museum Studies.
Anthropology will basically supplement an understanding of culture but my efforts have been into my minor. This fall I'm applying to Masters programs for Museum Studies/American Material Culture to eventually work in a museum as a Registrar/Collections Management/catch-all.
I have my bachelor's of science in Nursing and I'm currently working on my Masters to become a family nurse practitioner. :) I didn't realize we had some nurses on this site!
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, minor in Psychology.. RN here :)
So we are over run by nurses! Anyone else think nursing school is a beast??
I have a bachelor's in accounting, and I'm finishing my MBA with a focus in accounting right now, graduating in August. You can do all kinds of things with this education, supposedly, but my goal has always been to work for the federal government. Ideally with secret service or FBI, but we'll see. I'm also considering going for a PhD in accounting and becoming a professor, there's a huge demand right now.
I'm in my last semester of a 2 year nursing program. I will graduate in May with my ASN (I will be an RN once I pass boards). I'm planning on going back to school and completing my BSN online after I find a job, maybe starting before if it takes a while to find a job. My ultimate goal is either an NP or PA. I haven't decided which yet.
Will be working towards Paramedic starting in September. Hopefully by the time the 2 years are up I can find a job, cuz I sure can't seem to get one right now as an EMT.
Nursing school was the worst.. don't miss those days one bit :)
BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice, AS in Paramedicine, undecided on my Masters at the moment probably Rehabilitation Psychology
@chasesgirl:Holy cow, I don't miss my undergrad years a bit! I bet I'll miss it when I hit advanced pathophysiology next semester... all while getting married!!
@shimmerofheaven: That is what I am afraid of, patho was evil!
I'm finishing up my Doctor of Pharmacy degree and am starting a Master's of Public Health degree this summer. I'm hoping to apply for a 2-year fellowship (maybe in health outcomes, but there are a ton of possibilities right now). Eventually, I would like to work in academics (probably a focus on health-promotion program development/research and teaching).
Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I'm currently a Copy Editor, but that's what I focused on through my college paper and an internship. With my degree I can do any number of PR roles, event planning, speech writing, reporting, edit, proofreading, work in the non-profit sector, teaching (I'm guessing there could be a certificate).
BA in Music Performance. My concentration is tuba/euphonium performance. I'm going back to school shortly to get a degree in pyschology. After I'm done with school, I want to go into music therapy.
Journalism, and I can go cry in a corner with it :). Actually, what IntheMedia said, but those jobs are pretty hard to come by right now.
@jo.lee: I'm moving to Indy, don't tell me that. I'll be there in 2 weeks. (Now I am crying in a corner)
BS in Industrial Engineering - Hopefully I'll land some kind of logistics/financial analyst and work my way up the corporate ladder. Later in life I'd like to be a HS math teacher :)
@In the media: I'm sorry! You'll have better luck since you've got actual experience. I've heard the Star is starting to hire again.
I have a BS in Biomedical Engineering.. pretty far from business I know!
I work for a medical device company that makes pacemakers/defibrillators. So basically I sell and implant pacemakers and defibrillators. I love it!
Currently working on my BS in Biomedical Science, which is basically Cell/Molecular Biology. After that I plan to get my Master's in Microbiology and then a PhD in Virology/Immunology.
With that I plan to work in a lab and if I'm lucky, get a job with the CDC or something like it.
I have a BA in Journalism and am currently working towards my Teacher Certification. I also have a year of law school under my belt, but that's another story...
When I graduated from undergrad, the journalism market was pretty bleak, so I decided to focus my energy on law school. Discovered that wasn't where my true passion lied, so I went into education. Love it! I'm able to use my journalism degree because I'll be teaching English (hopefully--if I can get a job in this also bleak market).
Bachelor of Kinesiology with a Certified Exercise Physiologist. I work in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab but I could also work with athletes if I wanted to head in that direction.
I have an AA, a BS, two MS, and one PhD. I teach at the college level and I am a biologist.
I'm working toward a BA in Psych, and I'm planning to get my masters in School Counseling. :)
@jo.lee: It's OK. I have found some job leads. They are out there. I promise!
I had a double in history and sociology. went to law school. now work in legislative affairs.
Psychology minor in Bio. I work as an event photographer. Going back to school in September for a BSN.
Bachelor of Arts, Honours - Film Studies.
Have loved movies my whole life, but am now a production coordinator on a television show...
I have a BS in Biology. I'm a scientist at a biotech company in Seattle. I'm in drug development to find the next Asthma/ COPD drug. I'm getting my masters part time in Pharmacology.
BA in Poli Sci, now I'm in law school. Graduating in one year with my J.D. Then it's the Bar! :)
One year away from my MD, then on to learning how to cut people open for a living :P
@Tswife4ever: Sociology. I finished my undergrad and am now going back for my master's and then PhD.
I pretty much need a PhD no matter what I do (if I want to make good money) but my options are: Teach at the university/Research, or work for a political think tank (preferrably with policy making).
I have a BA in criminology and criminal justice and a BA in spanish. Right now, I am in law school because I didn't want to work in a jail. :)
