Nothing. No, scratch that. This wedding. We’re both paying for it. Further gifts aren’t necessary.

I did a boudoir session for him and gave him a few of the pics framed and he got/made me a collage of pictures of the two of us together.  My birthday was a week before our wedding and he got me an emerald and gold ring to match our wedding colors.

I seriously doubt we’re doing anything like this.  Yet another wedding tradition we’re not going to follow.

ADP419:  I’m not sure what FI is getting me. He wanted a list of ideas and of the ones on the list, I think he is going with a live painter at our reception. That way we would have a beautiful work of art of our first dance to hold on to forever. Or, maybe it is something completely different.

I am giving him a journal with all of my thoughts within the year leading up to our wedding and my version of our engagement. I also made a queen-sized quilt for our bed and I may throw in a cigar or two because that’s what he keeps asking for.

Rescue kittens! Not on our wedding day though, and with some hints from me 😉 I loooooove them so much.

I really don’t get the “gift thing” he got a peice of loose leaf hole punched paper with a note I wrote to him, and that isn’t a “gift”

he’s hinted at getting me either a kate spade purse or a coach purse… who knows if that’ll happen. i’ve told him before i’d love one or the other, as a really nice everyday leather purse. he said something about maybe as a wedding gift.

He got me diamond earrings. I didn’t know about them a head of time. He hid them under my pillow so I’d find them when I went to bed 🙂

Each other? Haha. Frankly I think the fact that you’re getting married is enough of a gift…

We aren’t doing gifts. We are going on a honeymoon & my fiance is paying for an important medical treatment that I need to have done before I can have kids…it’s very expensive…so I’m very grateful.

We aren’t doing gifts either, perk of paying for the wedding ourselves means one less thing to worry about

My guess is that he doesn’t know that this is a tradition so won’t be doing anything.  I got him a monogrammed tie tack.  For some reason he had an idea that he wanted to wear a tie tack at the wedding (?????).  I think he’s forgotten it now, but I got on in the dark silver color he likes with our monogram on it.
