i’m DIYing all of the paper stuff (save the dates, invitation suite, programs, thank you notes, signage). i’m also making my own veil, and my mom will help me with the flower girl’s dress, her basket, the ring bearer’s vest and tie, his pillow. she’s also making my MOH’s dress, and my other bridesmaid will make her own dress. oh, and i’m strassing my shoes and my flower girl’s shoes.

One of my favorite blogs (other than the Bee of course) is Craftster so when it came time to our wedding, I had a DIY list a mile long. Here are some the completed projects.

bouquets and bouts:

reception decorations: bunting cake topper, clay shark & otter, fabric covered books, favors (cookies & stickers on the holder)

paper goods: save the dates, invites 1, 2, & 3 (yes 3), rehersal/after party invites, programs

Sorry for the photo overload (it’s actually only some of the DIY elements in our wedding). Outside of the actual wedding, I also made blankets for each the ladies standing up with us.

Top photo: all the blankets (minus the top one which was made as for my newborn nephew)

Bottom photo: one of the blankets in action on my friend’s bed

I don’t know what you consider DIY, but my centerpieces were all bought elements that I added together using my own thoughts about decor & what would look right.

I DIYed most of my wedding. The card box , my crinoline petticoat, the floral favors for my women guests, the invites, and the amazing dessert table. I also did all my centerpieces, table numbers, my guestbook, seating chart, wrist corsages, hangers. I even tied ribbons around the salt and pepper shakers!     blah, blah, blah.

i haven’t recieved my pro pics yet so detailed pictures of all of my stuff are still to come.  I can’t wait to see what my wedding looked like. It went by so fast!

the last picture is my emotional breakdown right before the ceremony when I saw the ballroom with all of my creations come to life. Boy, I needed that.❤️

My whole wedding was DIY with the exception of the bouquets and the flowers on the reception tables.  Stuff I did DIY – Cake/cupcakes, cocktail hour food, signs, table set up, sand ceremony frame, flowers for my hair, ceremony aisle flowers and decor, pom-poms to decorate tent, and hanger for my dress.

I was extremely proud of my escort card board. I hadn’t seen anything like what I wanted. I wanted two sided and for it to stand up on it’s own so I could put it on a table. I bought two paintings from Goodwill, covered them with fabric, added a chain at the bottom, and added ribbons to hang folded cards on.

I don’t have pro pics back yet, but our photographer just blogged our wedding.

We made about our wedding arch, probably 500 feet of paper dot garlands, 60 or so tissue poms, a ton of barnwood signs, all DIY centerpieces and my bouquet from the flowers in my dad’s garden, a Polaroid frame fauxtobooth, seating chart on old windows, a big ceremony “program” on an old window, etc…

@lovelymuse:  Thanks so much! They were a big hit among our guests too 🙂

@Mammy:  I love your whole wedding look (and the fact that the majority of it was DIY). I can’t wait to see more photos. From what I can see so far, it looks everything came together beautifully!
