Our first date was spent watching a meteor shower that luckily occurs annually every year so we go up to the mountains and watch for meteors while reminiscing about the past. But if recreating your first date isn’t an option, we also love taking overnight trips and exploring little towns to get away for a day.

I haven’t been married a year yet, but we didn’t know what to do with our unity candle. It’s so beautiful I couldn’t just pack it up. We decided that on our 1st anniversary we’d light it, have some wine, and just be together.

My parents bought us the honeymoon suite at the hotel we got married at, and on our wedding night they downgraded us because they accidentally gave it to someone else, so they gave mom her money back, so my parents want to put us up in the honeymoon suite for our 1 year anniversary instead. I’m totally on board with that! So we’re going to do that and maybe use up some of those fancy dinner gift cards that we got as wedding gifts πŸ™‚

We went to Vegas.  If we hadn’t done that, we probably would have just gone to a nice restaurant.

These are all exciting and great ideas…mine is not coming for another 5 months too, so i might borrowing your ideas πŸ™‚ ….although we were thinking maybe going on another cruise.  We went on one for our honeymoon for 2 weeks and it was amazing, so we might do that again, but try a different cruise line.

Hi Date twin. We were just talking about this the other day. The only thing I really want to do is see Cinderella on Broadway, go somewhere to eat and eat our wedding cake. I guess I’m easy to please.

Our wedding venue gives us a night in the honeymoon suite and our baker gives us an anniversary cake.  =)

We took a long weekend road trip and loved every minute of it. We don’t get a lot of alone time or relaxation time, so it was nice to just chill.

We just got married in October so we have awhile.  No plans just yet.  I think we’d like to do some sort of a trip.  Hubby told me he has enough miles for two free flights anywhere in the continental US or Canada right now….so maybe we’ll use them for that.

When I open the freezer I give our cake a stare down.  I can’t wait to eat it o_o….mmm and if it ends up being funky we’ll go to the bakery and get a fresh one lol.

We are planning on going back to where we got married at in Destin, Florida.  Gonna go to the exact beach we got married on and relax.  I’m planning on getting my wedding dress shortened and dyed a different color (it is a pretty simple chiffon dress)and will wear that on our actual anniversary to go out that night.  We have our cake in the freezer, but I’m gonna contact the baker we used in FL and have her make a small cake for us with one of the flavors from our original wedding cake so we can have cake on our actual anniversary and our wedding cake once we return home.

We were going to go to Hawaii, but then we got pregnant right away and now we’ll have a 1-1.5-2 month old (depending on when he decides to show up), so….. I don’t know. Maybe we can have my in laws watch our son for a few hours to have some alone time and then go to Napa for a night when he’s 3 or 4 months.
