@desthebride:  Happy First Anniversary to you and your DH! Congratulations on your first year!!

For our first anniversary, we took a “second honeymoon” and went to St. John USVI, although the caliber of that trip paled in comparison to our honeymoon, because it was not as long and the resort was not nearly as nice. Still, it wasn’t a bad way to celebrate. 🙂

We only took a “minimoon” right after the wedding, so we’re doing a trip to the Hwy 1/San Fran/Sonoma area for a week. Can’t wait!

We went on a 4 day vaction to the beach and relaxed. The entire time we drank and ate seafood. We could actually relax on our 1 year anni more than our honeymoon.

We went to Jamaica on a mission trip to build houses! And spent the last day on the beach. It rocked.

We went to Istanbul for a week… which sounds extravagant, but it was only because we got suuuuper cheap flights–both of us round trip for a grand total of £100. Perks of having an anniversary in November when nobody wants to travel!

@desthebride:  We went away for the weekend (that’s our usual). We went hiking, took a bunch of pictures, explored the little town we were staying in, and of course, had lots of sex, lol. We didn’t have furbaby at that time, so this year we will be going to a cottage for a week (and furbaby is coming along).

We went to a food truck festival lol.  My cousin who made our wedding cake made us another cake since we didnt keep the top layer but it was a huge cake so we invited our friends and family over last minute bbq to celebrate with us.

Dinner at the same restaurant where we ate the night of the wedding, and a carriage ride around St. Augustine.

Congrats! We’re thinking about what to do for ours…but we’re trying to save money, just got a puppy, and my sister (I’m very close to her) is due a couple days before our anniversary.

We’re thinking of heading down to NC somewhere to rent a cabin or something, bring the pup, yet be within driving distance of my sister.

We are going to run the rock and roll marathon the day before our anniversary and then spend a couple days resting and relaxing in savannah!

We had planned on going back to the Jamaican resort we got married at, but I couldn’t wait, and we booked that for our 6 month. The new plan is Paris! I’m watching tickets right now, and will probably buy by the fall. I’ve always wanted to take DH there, I feel like it’s a can’t miss kind of place. However, if we end up not being able to go, a long weekend at the lake would be great too!

@MrsPanda99:  I take it 2018 isn’t your wedding date, then?! haha 😉

Ours is still a ways off, but we planned to go back to the hotel we got married at for a long weekend. Now, we will be welcoming our anniversary baby around that time, so who knows what we will do!
