I made my coworker's vinyl appliqued wine glass gifts (first time trying) and finally succeeded at making peanut brittle!  The glasses were a huge hit and the brittle is amazing, it is a bit too chewy, so I will let it get a bit warmer but other than that perfection!

Nice - Love the glasses and I ADORE peanut brittle!

I went Bourbon tasting with the hubs - it's our one year anniversary tomorrow but we'll be in church and then brunching with friends so this was really nice to get some alone time along with free booze!

Very cute and the brittle looks yummy (even though I don't like peanut butter)!

I shopped, shopped and then shopped some more. I am SOOO ready for Christmas to be over so we can start keeping the money thats transferred into savings each week in there!

@Dragonsus: OMG bourbon tasting sounds decadently amazing!!!!  Congratulations on your one year anniversary!!!!  The glasses were quite fun and relaxing to make. I actually made NINE of them for the people at my office, including my boss.  The brittle was really easy. As long as you have a candy thermometer, you're golden.

@UpstateCait: I am about to go back out, I have a few things to pick up for the kids, a FUSHIGI is one of them and a red ninja turtle for my littlest one as well as two watches for the littlest one and the head diva lol!  There grades aren't as high as they should be so they aren't getting a lot, but they are getting enough to know that it's Christmas.  My hubby doesn't like peanut brittle either, but I am going to try my hand at pecan candy/pralines.

I just finished Christmas shopping only to discover that the Fushigi is a crock of bs.  However, we bought them for the kids and will probably be returning them once they figure out that it doesn't float.

I also scoured Wal-mart for my smallest son's special gift only to discover that they don't sell Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I was like is this really Wal-mart?!

Hmm let's see... I got my hair done, made gingerbread, visited with FI's parents (and their dogs mostly), finished christmas shopping, wrapped everything, made dip, and am going to bed so i'll be rested for the two christmas parties tomorrow.  Phew!  It's been a crazy weekend!

My partner & I replaced our ugly wooden toilet seat, & then went bowling/to dinner for his company xmas party.

After the party I watched some kung-fu with my pal G (who suited up!), while my partner drunkenly passed out on the couch beside us lol.

    Today I am nursing a hangover :P

I pasted my invites.  Finished shopping.  Today I'm going to the Nutcracker Ballet and packing for the trip home tomorrow!  I didn't get to spend Christmas with my family last year, so I'm very excited.

I nursed my sick child back to health. Now she is brimming with energy and I am exhausted...LOL. I have one more item on my shopping list and I will get that Monday after work though. Today will be a lazy day of surfing the net and watching football....and napping

I baked, built, and delivered gingerbread houses to the families we know with small children.  Now my hubby wants more babies!!!!LOL we love seeing their faces and we give them candy bags and frosting to decorate the houses.

JamaicaBride: Glad to hear she is feeling better!! Lazy sundays are the best.

cebre80:  That peanut brittle looks so delish I think I might have to give it a shot today.

I also made the kids their "desks", really tv trays that are personalized for their Christmas gifts.  This year Christmas was all about educational gifts with a few of their wants.

Friday I had my second hair trial, which turned out great! One of my bridesmaids is getting married in September, so she came with me and we went to lunch, and to look at her wedding dress. FI and I just made dinner and watched TV Friday night, and I worked all day Saturday.

Last night after FI went to work, I stayed up really late to work on centerpieces.  Which is what I will be doing today as well....

    12 more days!

Holiday party with some friends, celebrated my mom and sister's birthdays yesterday, and today I am finally getting to spend some time with my FI. We went grocery shopping, made bagel bites...we went grocery shopping when we were hungry :), and now we are watching football. We may go to bed, bath and beyond and Target later, but I don't know if we'll have time. Hah! :) LAZY Sunday!!

@crebre80 - I can't WAIT for you to see everything! I didn't take any pictures of my trial . . . I dropped my iPhone in the toilet last month, and my current phone doesn't take great pictures. My first trial I had it put all up, and I didn't like it at all.  I wear my hair up all the time, so for my trial Friday we did a big bump, half up with lots of curls.  We will see.

We have two different centerpieces - one DIY, and one real flowers.  The DIY ones are big ivory pomander balls with lots of crystal covered branches and long crystal strands hanging down. They are all covered with fake snow, so they are very frosty and wintery looking.  They are for sure a labor of love.  Each one takes about 2 hours or so, and I am making 15.  I only have three done, so I really need to work on them.... I wish you lived closer, I would bribe you with wine to help me ;-)

The other tables have clear cube vases with hydrangeas in them.  All the tables have lots of candles.

Can't wait to see them come together! I will take some pictures for you soon!
