I tried to drink a lot of water to keep hydrated and just eating better in general.
About 3 months out I started hitting the gym pretty hard and I got pretty burned out by it and ended up slacking off with the gym the last month. So I definitely recommend going at a realistic pace. If you can afford a personal trainer I would go for it to keep you motivated, or a workout buddy would probably be a good motivator as well :)
I starting tanning about 3 weeks before the wedding which gave me a nice glow and cleared up my skin a bit. I also tried to wear makeup as little as possible to help clear out my pores. I tried to cut out sweets completely, but that just made me crave sweets even more! Just try and limit the sweets intake, but don't halt it!
I hope that helps!
Moisturize and eat better in general! I usually just put lotion on my face, but I started getting better about moisturizing any area of my body that would be exposed during the wedding - so face, neck, shoulders, arms, etc!
Thanks ladies! That helps a ton. The FI knows how hard is it for me to stay away from junk food that he loves so he got himself a little fridge and keeps all the "bad" stuff in there so it is out of sight and out of mine for me. Hopefully that helps me out a little. I love fruits and veggies so went shopping this morning to stock my supplies up. Gotta set yourself up for success right?
Do you ladies have any recommendations on a good moisturizer?
In addition to moisturizing, I've started exfoliating a few times a week, too. Get a body scrub - it really helps with those dry elbows and knees, and makes the rest of your skin super soft. I use Boots Mediterranean Body Scrub - its $10 at Target:

I am wanting to start taking better care of myself and getting in a lot better shape because my wedding is about 6 months away. I want to try and get my skin all nice and clear and my body all tone and tanned. I was just wondering what you ladies did to prepare for the big day? The last thing I want is broke out skin and pasty white legs. I am trying to start eating a lot healthier but kind of done really know where to start or what to start with, same kind of goes for the skin care thing. I would love any and all the help I can get
