I finished my thank you cards for the destination wedding & home reception. Now what do I do with all the cards that were given to us? Current they are in the decorative box that we used for our at home reception. I have moved this box from room to room but it’s just constantly in the way. Is there a time limit that I should keep them? Do I recycle them? Is that rude? What have you done with your cards?

Mine are still sitting in the card box from the wedding, I stored them in there and tucked them away in a closet. For sentimental reasons I want to keep them.

I’m a sentimental sucker so I plan on putting them in a shoe box and keeping them tucked away. I keep all sorts of cards for birthdays, when we got engaged, christmas so I’d feel really weird throwing them out.
I definitely don’t think it’s rude to get rid of them though but just make sure you won’t regret throwing specific ones out, like the ones from the people that are most important to you. And this may not be the case with you but I loved looking at the few cards my parents kept from their wedding in 1980, it was cool to see that as a kid.

Planning on including them in our wedding scrapbook. I probably won’t keep the more generic ones though.

I saw on pinterest, punching holes in the corners and stringing them together like a book. thought it was a cute idea.

I’m saving them in the card box from the wedding. A lot of people wrote us nice notes inside them, so I’m sure I’ll like looking back at them years from now. I’m really sentimental like that 🙂

@PinkAndPearls2013: i did something like this with the cards from our engagement party. I got a binder ring, punched a hole in the top left-hand corner, and put them all on that. They’re sitting on the coffee table right now. Some of my family who came over for Thanksgiving enjoyed looking through them, which was kind of neat.
Eventually they will go in a box of other wedding stuff though.
