WeddingBee classifieds! And Craigslist. And newspaper things. I'm keeping my dress too, and probably alot of the other things.

i kept a few items but i posted here on weddingbee classifieds to give away for free a bunch of my candy jars, photoframes, cake stands, and various items and one girl ended up taking it all!  which was much easier for me.

i was trying to be nice and give it to a bride who really needed it and when this girl emailed me from here she made herself out to be a younger budget bride so i was like...sure you can have it all but when i met her at starbucks to give her my stuff she pulled away in a mercedes amg! um. hmm. it made me wonder but you never know peoples current circumstances. hehe.

We're actually keeping it so that some family members of ours can reuse a lot of it for their wedding this summer. After that, they're giving it back so that we can sell it or give it away.

I gave it all to the other couple getting married at the rockhouse as a wedding gift.. they have no idea how annoying it was to bring down, so that's really the gift right there!!!!

I'm going to sell as much as I can!  I'm not sentimental at ALL, so for me there is no use in keeping it.

I didn't have a concrete plan on what I was going to do with my centerpieces and when it came time to leave the hotel, I didn't have any car room to put them in, so I gave them to the hotel.  It was too much of a hassle for me to cart stuff back to Chicago to try to sell it.

I tried to buy a lot of stuff that I would use after the wedding. And I did :)

But I sold some stuff, gave some stuff away too...

P.S. THIS is my 1000th post!  I'm officially a Bumble Bee now :)

I may try to sell some. I gave away some stuff to people who helped with various wedding things.

I want to sell it, but i'm a giant lazy buns and haven't gotten around to it. Right now it's taking up a whole spare bedroom, wedding dress and all. The wedding dress is still laying in a dirty, smelly heap on the floor, looking like a beached whale. I got married in November. Yeah.... I should probably get to that....

Word of mouth is always an easy way to sell items. I sold my trumpet vases and crystal strands pretty easily, after posting our pro pics on Facebook. My best friend's sister loved our centerpieces and asked to buy them right away.

Another good place to list items is on WeddingBee's classifieds boards. I've also sold some items pretty easily there.

I did keep a few items on hand (card cage, program basket, etc.) because I'm sure I will use them again eventually. I love to throw parties and showers for friends. =)

I'm trying really hard to be conscious of this fact when purchasing wedding items.
Trying to make everything so that we can reuse it after the wedding.
IE FG dresses, something they can rewear. Centerpieces we are reusing wine bottles so those can get recycled afterward
Ceremony decorations are lanterns we will use in our own backyard afters.
    Re-usability!
