@BlushingBride3814:  So long as your parents are okay with watching them for the evening, that should be fine.  My mom ended up leaving my first wedding reception a little early to take care of my stepdaughter and baby sister (both were 5 yo at the time.)  In hindsight, I would have liked for my mom to have stayed later and I wished we had just paid for a sitter.

We put them at our parent’s table. And then we hired a babysitter (a worker form their daycare) to tend to them after dinner. That way no family felt they had to watch over them the entire time, and she took our 2 year old back to the hotel room once she was tired.

They should sit with their parents…

The kids at our wedding sat with their parents, and then they danced and ate cupcakes.  It was definitely not hard to keep them entertained.

@peachacid:  I think she means her own children=the bride’s children.

@ieatunicorns:  Oh.  Um…that’s a little awkward, then.   I would sit them with your parents if they’re calm, but seriously why would you want your 2 year old away from you at dinner?  Don’t you need to make sure he/she eats and behaves?

@BlushingBride3814:  Parents are seated with their parents or grandparents. For example, my future sister & brother in law will be at the head table; their baby will be with grandma & grandpa at a different table.

Our children will be 1 1/2 & almost 3 when we get married. They will be in the wedding but hiring a sitter. She will help with occupying them while we are getting photos and hopefully while we are doing photos with them. We haven’t decided if the boys will stay for dinner or not yet, but either way a sitter will be there and then take them home. I want my parents to enjoy our wedding, not have to worry about the boys or leave early

@BlushingBride3814:  We had around 9 children at our wedding ages of 5 to 11, so we put all of them in one table. I thik they had more fun then sitting them with adults. There were adults who were sitting around kids table to theycould help them if they needed. We didnt have any problems
