Hi bees! I have my hair/makeup trial coming up in a week and I need some inspiration! I have wavy, thick hair and I’ve only been able to grow it out to where it falls right around my shoulder blades. I want to have some style ideas to bring to the salon before we begin, so if your hair was around my length, show me your beautiful wedding day hair!
I have an elbow length veil for the ceremony and a hair comb with beads and shiny things for the reception so I won’t be able to wear it all down since the hair comb would have nothing to grab onto. (It’s kinda heavy)
(This will give me a better idea of what to select with how much length I have.)
Thank you!! 🙂 🙂

you can always buy clip on extensions if you would like your updo be bigger like this:

My hair sounds very similar to yours. I had a comb as well and wanted it up. I wore my veil for the whole evening so I don’t have any shots of my hair without it on but this gives a bit of an idea. I got the inspiration for the style from this article: http://www.glamour.com/weddings/blogs/save-the-date/2010/09/bridal-beauty-get-this-pretty.html

@actually_06: totally unrelated to up-do’s, your wedding looked like it was gorgeous!

I had a half-updo waterfall braid and long curls for the rest of my hair (and also a floral cown). Google waterfall braids, they’re so gorgeous! Here’s a pic:

Mine was long but juat curls

I added extensions. Not for length but for ease. I have very curly natural hair, so the piece helped make getting ready a breeze.

Mine was a little longer than that, but I wore it down in curls w/ one side pull back slightly with a flower. Then I topped it with a midlength veil.
