I haven’t walked down the aisle yet but I already have butterflies! I even dreamed about it last night!

Excitement.  A little bit of nerves, but mostly just overwhelming joy and excitement.  Anticipation.  Happiness 🙂

@CarterLove:  Consider yourself lucky! I keep having nightmares that aren’t even nightmares. For example, I woke up in a hot sweat the other night because I dreamed that our band didn’t play any music between the salad entre and the dinner entre LOL! It’s going to be a long year and a half…

@CarterLove:  I’ve thought about this too! I’m scared that I am going to be so nervous and excited that I won’t remember it.

Super nervous right before it (and I was working on memorizing my vows that I wrote THAT MORNING).

Super duper joyful and hopped up on adrenaline during it!

Dang I read your post and I was like “oh, super close? how close?” And I checked your date…
HOW DID IT GET TO BE 3 WEEKS AWAY!
I feel unprepared haha

I get the feeling I’ll either be crying a lot (hopefully not) or that I’ll be OK and it won’t really hit me for a few hours, which is more likely.

  • Wedding: July 2013 - The front lawn of our church

@CarterLove:  The day of, I was super nervous. But when it came time for the actual ceremony, and I was standing there holding DH’s hand, I felt totally different. I don’t know how to describe it. I had a gazillion butterflies, and I was so happy I couldn’t stop smiling. But at the same time, I just felt so at peace. Our pastor knows us really well and he talked to us several weeks before the ceremony and got both of our stories of how we met, started dating, and fell in love. He told much of our story during the ceremony, and that nearly brought me to tears. I just felt so overwhelmed that God brought me and DH together, that we were getting married, and that I get to spend the rest of my life with him:)

I was completely overwhelmed in a good way! As soon as I arrived at the church, it hit me that we were really doing it, I was really lucky enough to be marrying my best friend and the best man I’ve ever known. I cried and was just so happy and excited and a little nervous (more because of all the people watching). It was an amazing day.

I knew I was going to cry so I tried to talk myself out of it but as soon as I heard the processional music I bawled.

My husband was teary. I was excited and about to jump out of my skin. Big holding back a cry face from him and a big cheesy grin from me.

@CarterLove:  i didn’t get nervous until about 20 minutes before the walk down the aisle. then i was nervous until they opened the doors, and i was just swept away – it does by in a SNAP. i remember being so happy and beaming going down the aisle, seeing how nervous my now-DH was, being shy and nervous standing in front of everyone, laughing at funny parts of our ceremony and trying SUPER HARD not to cry!
