My favourite items:
- the abstract clock from bed bath and beyond that someone bought for me on my registry
- my giant cupcake and ribbon shaped cake tins
- my kitchenaid mixer..HEAVEN
I have a KitchenAid mixer which I LOVE and I think I've nearly worn out the motor. I'm thinking this might be the ideal time to upgrade to the larger size!
I'm not married yet, but the item on my registry I'm most excited about is my Le Creuset french oven =)
Okay, silly, but my FI couldn't live without his horribly expensive iron. I was happy with my old $7 Walmart special, but he insisted on a $70 iron and he uses it daily for his work clothes. Claims it works tons better then my cheapy one.
A GOOD vacuum!
a kitchen Aid mixer (we don't have one, but I'm crossing my fingers for one off our registry!).
A good set of glass or metal mixing bowls and measuring cups (1c, 2c, 4c, etc) as well as a set of nice measuring spoons.
Games! We have a ton of board and video games on our registry. We'd love if someone bought us fun in a box! :D
Baking/Cooking books. We have a serious problem with collecting these things, using them a few times, then buying a new one, but they're very useful to have around!
Oooh a good vaccuum. You're right! Ours is pretty good but I've been eying up the Dyson ball.... Or there was a neat one for pet hair I saw... I'll have to mark that down for sure!
Games are a must! You're absolutely right! Cute idea, I love that!
we forgot serving platters. and we needed them right away for thanksgiving so we went out and bought some with the registry completion discount.
Stainless steel mixing bowls, having a good set is really nice, the cheaper sets tend to get banged up quickly and need replacing often.
I would definitely say register for Le Creuset, love my dutch ovens. And keep in mind, that because it's cast iron, it heats evenly so if you register for an oval oven, you can use it on the stovetop for a stew, but roasts will also fit better for oven use.
I also want to throw in a word for KitchenAid, although that's pretty much a registry essential. I do love mine, I have the pro 600 in Licorice Black, and it gets constant use. :D
My absolute favorite registry-worthy item, though, is my Emile Henry stoneware dishes. They are SO EASY to clean, the ruffle pie dishes are gorgeous, and the little 8x8 pans make the most evenly baked brownies, the edges don't get dried out, and the middle doesn't get gooey. I've tried several brands of stoneware (Le Creuset, Batali, Target's Giada line, etc.), and emile henry is definitely the best.
We're registered for a Le Creuset 5.5 round, and the comments in here are making me even more excited to get it!
At our engagement party, we got a beautiful, huge sterling picture frame and I keep taking it out of the box to admire it. We're planning on putting a wedding photo in it, and I can hardly wait!
FH fav on the registry was a dual head shower... and we've already received and installed it - but i think i enjoy it more than he does!
lame enough - my fav is a pet hair hand vacuum, i'm hoping someone gets it for us because his cats shed like there is no tomorrow!
I'm most looking forward to our "experience" stuff. Since we're paying for the wedding ourselves, we registered for some "date night"/new experience stuff to keep us from becoming complete couch potatoes: Gift Cards to local restaurants Wolfgang Puck's CUT, King's Hawaiian, Bouchon, & Mendocino Farms; plus Rosetta Stone French Level 1-3; and tickets to the play Lieutenant of Innishmore & the Green Day musical American Idiot. Because, having scrimped & saved for a year to pay for the wedding, we could REALLY use a few nights out.
My fiance has nixed the Le Creuset because of how heavy it is. I'm sad, but fair enough. He does most of the dishes :)

We're going to register Sunday afternoon at The Bay and Crate & Barrel. I'm so excited!!! We already have a house and are pretty set up, but I've purposefully left gaps in our "stuff" for when we got married. So ladies, what is the one thing you forgot to register for OR your favourite item around the house? I love to bake and cook, so lay on the kitchen gadgets and everything that makes your world (and house!) go round!
