I totally forgot about stamps!! They are small, but can get expensive in great quantities!
Shipping costs. I totally forgot to factor decor shipping in (we are getting married in San Diego but live in Boston). Goodbyyyyyye $240.
Favors. It's not something that we see alot around here so it didn't come up in the buget brainstorm... but I love all the fun themed ideas out there!
Ouch, vendor gratuties might have been painful one to miss. Hope you don't get burned too bad. :)
@PrncssDva: Oh my God, the stamps were a killer! Luckily, we remember to factor those in originally!
@Miss Chapstick: I didn't even think about them until a fellow Bee posted about it. We had stamps for the Save the Dates and will need stamps for the invites and RSVP cards!!
@SuperShopper: Nah, it wasn't too bad. Our venue included the service charges in our final bill, so we didn't need to tip any of our venue staff. It was mostly our ceremony musician, officiant and DOC. It wasn't TOO bad, but definitely something we should have thought of!
We totally forgot vendor tips, too! We also needed to hire a "bartender" and a dog-picker-upper! Luckily, we got married the day after pay day!
I forgot about Rehearsal dinner. I know the Groom's family is supposed to pay, but I should have known that they wouldn't. Thank god my parents could help out at the last minute!
Thanks for posting this! I'm just getting started so this is amazingly helpful right now!
We totally forgot to include the favors in our budget! We did a donation in lieu of an actual favor, but forgot to put that amount in the budget. Yikes!
Ouch on forgetting the gratuity! Our venue/caterer has a 19% gratuity, hope it didn't hurt you too much!
I initially forgot the favors in the budget, we're still awhile out though so it wasn't a big deal.
Wedding announcements. We're doing a DW and want to send them to a lot of people... with a photo on them... so that'll be around $250
And I didn't realize just how much my dress alterations would actually be. I bought a dress at the tip top of my price range and my alterations costs are 1/4 the cost of the dress! oops!

When the Mister and I got married, we had a pretty detailed budget. However, we did forget one thing:
Vendor gratuties!
These came up at the last minute, and we had to move around some funds to tip our deserving vendors.
What's something you forgot to budget for, but you wish you had? This might help future brides while setting their budgets!
