For those who opened presents already, what did you get?
My partner got me a Ice Pink HP Mini laptop. I love it!!! I have to get used to the keyboard and Windows 7, but it is awesome!!! I also got 2 pink and purple sweaters, a USB drive, big brain academy for my DS and a wireless mouse. All from Caytlin. Our families are coming over later today for dinner and more presents. lol. Talk to ya soon!!
Ahhh I just got a new laptop a few days ago.. isn't 7 pretty cool? (kinda like a rip off of vista and mac combined, lol)
I got: Necklace and bracelet from the future ILs, wacom tablet and coach bag from FI, shirts, money, costume jewelry and other little stuff from my parents, wallet and duck slippers (OMG YESSSS) from my sister and a Barefoot Contessa cookbook from FBIL and his gf! So... overall I'm excited, not to mention I got my laptop this week so really, it's just a win-win situation!
Aw, I love playing with new laptops :) FH and I went into the Apple store earlier this week and I *almost* thought I'd be getting a new one. But I do love mine so much.
I got a bracelet and watch set from mom, a new case for my iphone from my sister, tickets to see Cirque du Soleil with FH (which I've known about for a while yet), 2 Momiji dolls from me and FH respectively (yes, I gave myself a gift) and a Momiji snowglobe from mum (I'm a bit of a collector). Oh, and some cash from FMIL. FSIL and her family are giving out family gifts tomorrow so that'll be fun.
More than anything the thought behind the gifts this year made me really happy and a bit teary. It's all stuff I like or wanted without having to give hints.
You guys got such great gifts!! I got cash from most of my family bc they know my FI and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and they know we have been very responsible when it comes to saving money for it. My FI got me a few pairs of shoes, some jewlery and some pj pants ( i love victoria's secrets pj pants). The best gift we got though was my FI's mom and stepdad gave us $4,000 for the wedding because they said they were so proud of how much my FI had been saving, He makes really good money and use to spend it like CRAZY and he is working really hard on that, not where he needs to be yet but still doing really good.
Yay bees, I love the holidays and I am glad you bees are enjoying yours. The holidays make my heart swell =)
What very nice gifts ladies, all of you are very blessed. Mr. M and I decided on not doing gifts this year since I just quit my job and the company I will be working for is not quite up and running just yet. Not to mention we are also paying for our own party (in lieu of wedding, although not much cheaper) and honeymoon which is only 5 months away now. All of that being said, I was shocked when Mr. M brought in a box last night wrapped and finished with a bow and placed it under our tree. I was beside myself with guilt since I had not gotten him anything and had absolutely no idea what this present could be.
I opened my box and to my surprise I found a pair of pink and brown riding boots. Mr. M knows I have always wanted a horse and I have been doing a lot of riding lately. It was such an unexpected & thoughtful gift. All I am missing now is a matching horse!!! She may be a year or so away but I know Mr. M will make sure she is mine as he has done for the last 2 yrs with everything else.
So, as much as we may appreciate the monetary, tangible, unexpected and thoughtful gifts this year, remember that Christmas is a time to be thankful for all you have and giving to those who do not have.
I can honestly say I am grateful to God every day for bringing in to my life not only what I wanted but more what I needed in this delicious 6'2'' package who loves me inspite of all of my short comings and I simply wish the same for everyone this holiday season.
I got a lot of nice things this year but my favorites would have to be an onyx heart necklace and antique musical jewelry box from my boyfriend and a camera and peruvian flute from my dad.
My amazing husband surprised me with a gorgeous white gold and yellow gold diamond ring! It's gorgeous! What a great surprise! I even took some pics of it in the Christmas Tree :)

A jar of Ocean Salt from Lush, the Little House cookbook, a Volcano candle from Anthropologie, and lots of other fun things. Also lots of leftovers from Christmas Eve dinner, heehee!
As spoiled as he makes me every year, he got me a stocking full of thoughtful little gifts like: hand sanatizer, tealight candles, scrunchies..etc, a pedicure bath (which he set up for me and filled up with warm water so i could soak in the massage water), jewelry armoire (so beautiful), home decors and he cleaned the whole house and did all the laundry! Im so excited to marry the man of my dreams, he makes Xmas so special every year! Happy Holidays Bees!
Lets see, from FMIL I got some snow boots and a pretty red scarf. From my mom I got some pjs, slippers, a North Face Fleece, and a purple iPod Nano. From FI I got an iPod docking station, a few books, The Fame Monster CD and Glee Volume 1 CD, and an ice tea maker. We also got some couple gifts. It was a great year. :) It was also great because all the gifts I gave everyone loved. That makes me super happy. I definitely feel blessed and thankful for everything.
i got engaged last friday and my FI got me a new Coach purse!
My FILs got us a new bed frame too!

Bwah ha ha... my parents apparently decided that shopping was the best way to cure the fact that I hadn't been home in 2 months. But you know... I would have traded it all to have Mr. KM here with me... sad.
I got lots of nice gifts!
But my favorite gift was one of the ones from my fh, diamond stud earrings from Zales :)
My parents also got us a wii so that is pretty exciting as well!!!

I got a digital picture frame, now i need to figure out how to put pictures on it, but its super cool!
The family had a pretty low key christmas due to my wedding and everyone paying for their suits and whatnot but for christmas we watched the wedding movies we had and ate good food and it was even better than presents
From FI I got a garmin (yay!), and from my parents I got some gift cards for our new house (Lowes and Bed Bath Beyond), some fun kitchen stuff, and 2 outfits. :)
I got a rain check for tickets to London late January (dates still need to be finalized), baking goodies, wine accessories, bath robe and slippers, house decor stuff, a coat AND....a Snuggie (its super warm :-))
Considering I got officially engaged on 12/19 with a gorgeous ring, I didn't expect anything more from FI. Imagine my surprise when he handed me 2 gifts last night! A new furry pink bathrobe and a wallet with a NY & Co. gift card in it (one of my fave stores)!! He's such a sweetheart. His parents got me some Victoria's Secret PJ's. My mom got me some clothes, a calendar, hat/scarf set, and a new coat which I love. It was a cheap X-mas all around due to how the economy affected our families. However, we were all blessed with love and togetherness for the holiday. It was the best one yet!!
@crebre: Thanks so much!!!!! I love it too!!! It's all pave set stones so it's completely different than anything I have! I also love the white gold/yello gold combo. :) He is nice to me!
@All other Bees: Our guys did GOOD this year! Cars, trips to London, Computers, pedicure baths and hot Coach purses! Whew! I think we are all very blessed - somewhat for the presents, but mostly for our very thoughtful SO's and family!
back massager, cookbook, wrist watch heart rate/calorie counter thingy, a necklace holder....workout clothes. All stuff I wanteds!
I was very lucky this Christmas and got a ton. I got a popcorn maker, shoes, a digital camera, some clothes and other little stuff.
BUT by far my favorite gift was one my grandparents gave us. They own a downtown building and I've wanted to have our reception on the second floor of the building. The fire marshall had said no but my grandpa met with him and made some arrangements so that we can have the reception there!
I got last night the Lenox holiday chip and dip large plate thing. Perfect! Matches the Lenox holiday pattern T has! His mom gave that to me and a hilarious cookbook (Martha Washington's cook book) even trying to decipher the ingredients back then is funny.
I got 250 from my mom. Thanks mom!
I got the ring from T earlier (huuuuuge early Christmas present) and some lovely things from Victoria's secrets including bath items I love.
I have to go see sis and bil and they always get us stuff. So who knows. Just happy actually the stressy part is almost over.

& he also got me some stuff for my Mini Cooper!
From my parents I got a Coach jacket and scarf, Lilly Pulitzer Beachy perfume, and some diamond earings!
& from the FIL's I got a basket of Bath & Body Works stuff, a scarf, purse, and a few other things!
But most importantly, it was our first Christmas together so I am so thankful I got to spend it with my FI! :)

What wonderful presents everyone got :) special year for many of us for sure!!! I was surprised Christmas morning with the swarovski tiara I fell in love with at the Swarovski store, but was out of our wedding budget, so I have been trying to settle for something MUCH less than that one... so James surprised me and got it for me for Christmas... I LOVE IT! Plus I got cricut cartridges, a new wattet, new Glee CD, wii Grey's anatomy game, some socks, mitts, a beautiful new watch... and another shocking gift was two paintings that my dad had made for us; one of our dog Chloe, and the other of our cat Monster... it was a COMPLETE surprise, and they are both gorgeous!!! Wonderful Christmas!!
From my parents I got LOST Season 5, which I'm so excited about because I'm about a season and a half behind and want to catch up before the last season starts. They also sent me a set of over the door hooks shaped like monkeys, the new Joanne Fluke book "Plum Pudding Murder", a Mark scarf (RENTheads will know, but it's basically a navy blue/white striped scarf, like the one that Mark wears on Broadway), a Tolkien calendar, and scrapbooking supplies.
My in-laws gave me a black winter accessories set (scarf, hat, gloves), a set of pink pajamas (which surprised me as I've never worn an inch of pink around them, but I'll keep it because it's sweet), some money, and various toiletries (shaving gel, razors, body wash, loofah).
My brother and his wife sent up a Tara hat from Coach and the book "The Monkees: The day-by-day story of the '60s TV pop sensation".
My husband and I exchanged gifts early and I received a new purse, which miraculously fits all my zipper, color, and size requirements.
Oh, and I just received a Olive Garden gift card in the mail from my uncle.
But the best part was probably that it was both our first Christmas together as husband and wife and my first Christmas with his family. I was expecting some drama, but it was actually really nice.
I got money from my family along with jewelry and perfume.
My BF wins for most useful present! He got me this for Hanukkah...
YAY! Now I can do all my school stuff :)

We really tried not to give too many gifts this year as we have too much stuff already! But hubby gave me a satellite radio for the car, some heavy duty car floor mats, some kicking new boots, flannel-lined jeans, an electric tootbrush (some really fancy one, I will have tio study the manual to figure it out), a CD carry case and a St. Christopher medal for the car.
@Bluespurs - I am laughing just thinking about reading a manual to figure out a toothbrush! Sounds awesome though .. hahah!
Late late late last night M gave me the sweetest letter... Some of you know that I was bummed about not going home so it said something like Happy Christmas. I'm sorry we didn't get to go home for Christmas, but this is your home now (tearing as I type this)... I love you love, M (if anyone knows him he is a man of very few words and it was hilarious because that was EXACTLY what i needed to read at that moment).
Awww cre, that's beautiful! Mr. KM wrote me a letter too, but I had to practically twist his arm to do it cause he doesn't like writing personal stuff! I think your letter was the best present of all the things mentioned.
@KM: I know!! I didn't think he was going to write it at all (it was all I asked for)... But it was soooo him (on an empty toilet tissue paper roll lol!!!) I guess the only place he can think is on the toilet :D (the gruesome threesome are always around lol) .... I absolutely cried reading it... and am tearing up thinking of it now because it was so unexpected and so great and sweet. He was so funny... He was like okay let's go to bed so you can continue crying :D.. I burst into tears as soon as I got it... and my response was simply Oh M....
Our Mum's pooled together and bought us the Foodsaver. We love it!!
My parents bought me a 7d and two new lenses, and I'm dying over them. Mr. S bought me a DSi and a new DS game, which TOTALLY broke our rules. We had a 50$ rule. Meanie. :p
@scissors: my son and M's daughter got DSs and they LOVE THEM! it's adorable! My son never once lifted his head yesterday, NOT EVEN TO EAT!!
The big things were a Wii (joint gift to FI and I), a breadmaker, a chandelier for our new house, and a very pretty necklace from FI :) He also bought me an ipod shuffle for the gym, and it's pink!!!
@crebre- i love my ds. :) i had a light pink ds lite, but the mic broke so i couldn't play half of the games. so now i have a hot pink one with the camera thing. :p they're so addictive.
