I went crazy for my mom and got her an ipad.

For DH’s mom, we got her two nice silver frames to put our wedding pictures in

it seems drastically different in price, which they were, but they were given at different times so they didn’t know what the other got. Plus, they are VERY different People. each gift was perfect for that person

My mom hosted our engagement party.  For her we gave a custom embrodiered blanket of a picture of her rescue dogs…she loves them soooo much!

For all the parents we are giving electronic frames with a bunch of pics from the wedding.  We haven’t gotten our pics back…bleh…hopefully soon.  Fingers crossed.

His parents pitched in money against our will – his mom deposited the money into his account and refused to take it back, though in terms of weddings it wasn’t excessive ($800). My parents pitched in about $300.

They received thank you cards. Never asked for their help – never wanted it. For that matter, neither of us had any idea what my in-laws would want from us (they’re hoarders, for one).

I got my dad these awesome cufflinks on Etsy… they were only about $30.  One says “I’ll always be your little girl” and the other says “you were the first man I loved.”

I got my mom’s gift also on Etsy, a necklace with two silver-plated disks – one says “today a bride, tomorrow a wife, forever your daughter” and the other one says “thank you for raising the woman of my dreams” – so this is more a gift from me and FI, as oppoed to my dad’s which is just from me.

For my FMIL, I’m a little unsure.  I thought about getting a bracelet that has all 3 of her sons birthstones, plus mine and her other daughter-in-law’s, but it may be a little more than I want to spend (plus will become outdated when 3rd son gets married).  An engraved frame might be a better idea.

We wanted to do the same gift for all of the parents since everyone will be opening their gifts at the rehearsal dinner in front of one another.  We ordered large jar Yankee Candles and had them cusomized so the labels show our photo, names and the wedding date.  I plan to do something more for my parents after the wedding.

I wore my moms dress so I had a custom frame made at hobby lobby. Inside on the left was a picture of my moms bridal portrait and on the right was my bridal portrait. Then underneath each of our pictures were our wedding dates. She loved it, I made her cry and everything.

@chelseakayd:  I had large photo canvases made for each Mom. We picked pictures of us as babies with our moms then I had them framed. My moms was a dainty but detailed gold frame and my mils was a chunky wooden frame o it matched each of their styles. Both cried! For my fil my DH took him golfing at some super fancy golf course 🙂
