I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
I'm going with the boudoir photo route. it's entirely out of character for me, so I think it's something he'll enjoy.
I got the typical cuff links. But I also got him the Calvin and Hobbs leather bound box set that he's been eyeing for years but couldn't justify buying for himself.
I went with "bombshell" photos. Totally not something I would usually do--he didn't even recognize me!
Not married yet, but I'm getting him cufflinks. Yes, it's a bit traditional, but they are the molecular symbol for serotonin (the happy chemical!) which is so incredibly fitting since he's in the medicine field and ::sentimental moment alert:: he makes me so happy. ^_^

I gave my husband custom-made cufflinks. Each one was made out of a map, and one was Washington, DC (where we met and got engaged) and one was Philadelphia (where we got married). They are also quite fitting beacause while I continue to live in DC for the next several years, he is moving to Philadelphia and we'll be apart 3ish years... a cufflink for each of our locations.
wow that is super awesome, so thoughtful tied to now a great memory plus you have a fab photo for keepsake! good work m'dear!
I surprised him with a boudoir photo book I made at blurb.com. He loved it!
I bought him a watch and boudoir photos. My photographer was www.carolinetran.net -- she is amazing.
I gave him a little bag with socks ("in case you get cold feet"), his favorite toothpicks (don't ask - he just likes them) and a boudior photo album. He was floored!
i adopted a penguin for him because they mate for life and I thought that was a pretty awesome fact! the adoption pack came with a certificate and a pin that I put in a card for him.
halfway through the day he showed me that he'd put the pin on under his tie- how cute!

What did others give their husband on the big day?
I wanted to do something extraordinary for my guy as he is not the type to get excited by "stuff" (watch, cufflinks, etc.) So this is what I came up with...
I rented out the marquee at the Lusty Lady (a sleazy peep-show place) in downtown Seattle. The marquee always has sexual sayings on it (ie. Erection Day for Election Day) so I had them up our names with a saying.
He is pretty anti-establishment and was not happy about going back to Seattle for the wedding (loooong story). He always loved that the Lusty Lady was still around even though it is an eyesore and most residents wish it went away.
I had convinced him we were going to Pike Place Market for pictures (he hates that place with a passion) so I had him all worked up. Instead we ended up at the Lusty Lady and the look on his face was unforgettable.
It was the best $50 buck I ever spent. Proof of what I think was the best gift ever attached.
What did you do or give?
