As far as I could remember, we only had a tentative guest list & tentative budget, & we had paid the deposit on our venue.

We picked our date and booked a venue within 2 weeks of getting engaged. It was 10 months out and we essentially had nothing done other than deciding where we wanted to get married and when.

We also had a Catholic wedding. To set the date, I needed the church, the priest, and my venue to agree. From there, it was just finding people who could work with our date/budget.

We did the guest list first, and we knew what church and venue we wanted, we also knew what date we wanted, we simplly called, asked if they were free, and booked. We didn’t have anything else booked when we did that, I wanted that specific date so I figured anything else could just work around it.

We did a tentative guest list (which is large, we knew it was going to be and that narrowed down our venue choices). We decided a month/year we wanted to get married in, and then I picked the day of the month to coincide best with my work schedule. After that we looked at venues and booked. We’re looking for photographers now. But we also aren’t getting married until November 2015 so basically all of our first choices have been available so far. I would get on the photographer ASAP if I were you, the other stuff can be a bit more flexible.

We knew when and where we wanted our honeymoon, that was about it.  The only part we knew about the budget was ‘cheap’.

This is probably insane, but I actually had my dress before we picked the date. But I don’t think we had anything else officially done (besides picking the venue) by that time.

We had our guest list, who we wanted in our bridal party, and what month we wanted, and we picked out tuxes for groom/groomsmen/ring bearer/fathers(we won a small contest for them). After that we looked at birthdays/anniversaries and then we decided on the day. A couple days later, we picked a couple possible venues and sent them to our parents to check them out(we are down in Florida and wedding in Michigan so we are lucky to have them check it out for us which was amazing), and we had our venue booked a week after. I also had my dress and BM dresses picked.
