@mrsedwardslpn:  I think so. It was the first month charting we got a BFPk second month off BC.p

Do you now have regular periods? Try using an OPK to start getting an idea of your cycle. I used exactly one stick because of the timing when they came in the mail and the fact that the very first one was a positive.

I charted temperature and cervical mucous, timed BD according to likely ovulation and layed with a pillow under my bum for 15 minutes after BD haha. I don’t know about that last part but clearly SOMETHING worked since I got my BFP first cycle. I also took b12 to increase my lutheal phase which I noticed was short by charting.

In all honesty though, it’s definitely the charting that did it for me.

My next step if it didn’t work out for us after a few cycles was to go to OPKs.

When we were ‘actively’ TTC it took 2 cycles. The first cycle I used the regular Fertility Friend app. I just charted when we did it, and then CM. I also bought an expensive pack of OPK at the store which came with like 6 sticks and that was it. I can’t remember if I got a true positive, I think I did. I also stayed on my back with pillows under my hips for like half an hour after each time.

The second month when I got my BFP, I used the paying fertility friend, took temperature ( vaginal for accuracy ) CM, and I used OPK that I got off of the internet.. what’s the site.. something …pregnancytests.com. I ordered a ton of them which allowed me to have an accurate idea of when my surge was. I also remembered that my Dr had mentioned that my uterus was tilted forward years ago so I layed on my stomach after we did it instead of my back. 🙂

I think charting is the most useful tool you can use to learn your body and your cycles. It’s amazing to know all these things that happen by just watching your temperature as the least. That way you know if you’ve ovulated or not and gives you a pattern to your cycles. Good luck!

@mrsedwardslpn:  I am not TTC yet but have done a good amount of research as we will try right after getting married. I also have irregular periods so I have been doing research on how to naturally go about it. I have heard that Vitex is a good way to bring on AF and make you more regular. If I don’t become regular through the other methods my doctor has recommended, I will begin taking this. OF course ask your doctor before taking any supplements.

My cycles were pretty regular but I suspected my luteal phase was on the shorter side. I charted and took a B Complex for the luteal phase issue, and I got pregnant our second cycle trying.
