We're taking our e-pics (finally) in a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to wear! I've seen girls that change outfits...what did you wear? did you try to coordinate somehow with your FI? I'm thinking of wearing a sundress and some high heels...I have no idea about my tall FI...jeans and a white button down with sleeves rolled up?
How did you decide and what did you go with?
Thanks Bees!
I just wore one outfit. Our photographer asked us to semi-coordinate so that we looked like a couple instead of two completely different people.
I wore dark blue jeans with boots, a purple tank-top and a black and silver striped button down shirt over top. MrCiarrai wore jeans and a purple striped button down shirt.
I am going shopping in an hour...Argh I am so frustrated b/c I am beyond indecisive as well. I have one outfit which is the 'casual' outfit. But I want a more girly outfit, you know that shows off the fun side....I am thinking to hard about it, haahaahaahaa
When are your e-pics? Ours are next Sunday, yowza!!!!!
EDIT - - I decided on two outfits b/c we're taking our photos in two different areas. The first part of our shoot will be with our dogs at a city playground and then the second part of the shoot will be in the boatyard.

I just wore what I felt comfortable in. Dont wear something that you dont normally wear, being uncomforatble in photos shows.
I thought about a change of outfits, but just decided to wear one casual (but nice) outfit that I was comfortable in.
I brought two just in case. We were at different scenerys so I did not want and outfit that did not match.
We're taking ours soon too. I'm thinking a casual outfit and dressier outfit.
Casual will probably be jeans, a solid color cardigan and cute cami underneath.
Dressy will probably be just a cute summer dress and heels.
FI will wear a polo shirt and jeans and probably a button up. I don't want to look too matchy-matchy so he'll probably stick to black or white and leave the color to me! I say don't get too dressed up. E-pics are supposed to show you how you are naturally.
We both wore dark jeans and gray shoes, and I wore a black shirt and he wore a light blue shirt. Black and blue were our wedding colors, and I wasn't even planning on that when we picked out our outfits, cuz I made a change to mine and his at the last minute. Worked out great for us! I'll have to upload ours onto the compute to show everyone
We talked about dressing up, but its not really us. So we wore nice jeans and a polo type shirt.
We wore two different outfits because we shot pictures are two different locations: city and the beach.
My advice is to wear something you would normally wear, something that suits your personality or a certain style/cut that flatters you. One of my outfits was the dress below, and I chose it b/c I fell in love with the patter/look but it wasn't the most flattering on my body. At least I don't think so. Good luck!
I wore a black and white sundress. Unfortunately it was a little lower cut than I realized (I guess it shifted as I wore it) and about half the shots were too obscene to use, lol. So yeah, whatever you wear, make sure it looks good after you wear it for a while and it "settles" rather than just after you put it on and have it all adjusted right. My FI wore khakis and a bright blue dress shirt which we thought would pop against the black and white dress.
I wore a grey and black sweater and jeans, and my FI wore a grey sweater. I have seen e-pics where the couple is not coordinating at all, and I think it still looks cute. It is more natural of a look because it isn't as thought out. I think you could do either!
I wore a skirt that I had and a floral shirt that matched. FH wore a shirt that was vaguely the same colour green as was in the skirt and black jeans. We were comfortable and that was the most important thing. We changed into something a bit more "formal" but those photos show us being more uncomfortable for sure!
I'm planning on wearing this dress from Anthropologie
and these shoes (which are also my wedding shoes but dude, they were such a splurge that I needed them highlighted in some serious photos!):

I'm also gonna do my makeup trial that day, and get my hair stylist/friend to do a blowout!
I am soooooooooo excited about this!
Oh, haha, and he'll probably wear jeans or khakis and a polo (if I get my way) or a button down shirt (if he has his way). :-)
I had 2 different shirts and pairs of shoes but I wore dark skinny jeans. The first shirt I wore was a red t-shirt and I wore beige snakeskin heels with that shirt. My fiance was wearing jeans, a black button up shirt with his sleeves rolled up and his green and yellow pumas.
The second was a black t-shirt with bright red heels and then my fiance just put on his green and yellow puma sweatshirt.
It looked really cute together! I will be getting the pictures back in about a week so I will post them and show you then! I was happy I wore jeans and t-shirts because I was comfortable and it was my style instead of something I wouldn't normally wear.
Thanks ladies for all the ideas so far and the cute pictures! I have until May 8th, but it sounds like I should start shopping around soon for something that I love but feel comfortable in number one....I thought about wearing a summer dress with accessories to match his shirt..
We're taking the pictures at a national park in NY near waterfalls and in the forest
My dress is from Anthropologie as well. The other was a chiffon 70s looking teal dress from Delia's. :)
We both wore black, because we were going for a certain black & white photo look. I only have the watermarked proofs available to upload:
I wore a top with a short cardigan over it...I love layering in photos! And jeans, something easy...
Sorry the only pic I could find was one of our table numbers!
I think we were a bit excessive, but I had 4 outfits (my fiancée had 3, but it ended up looking like 4 because of his motorcycle jacket that we didn't plan on him using). The photographer probably would have preferred us having less, but heck, we were paying for her time! :-)
I don't like super pose-y pictures, so we wore things that were fun, we felt comfortable in and felt like ourselves. Black is classic, but bright colors are super fun (and look amazing on camera). One outfit was a a little more formal (dress), the second was a little less formal (dark jeans and a nice blouse), and my last were super casual (T-Shirt & Jeans).
I'm adding a few of our E-pics so you can get an idea. I think they turned out great and they were so much fun!!!
My advice, just dress like yourselves, be comfortable, and in what you feel sexiest in! :-) We coordinated a bit, but not too much, we didn't want to be too matchy-matchy.
(And honestly, one of my favorite outfits on guys are jeans and white button-up shirts with the sleeves rolled up... great choice!)

I can relate with you in having a tall FI... Mine is 6'8"!! We decided to dress up for our E-Session. I wanted to look back at them on our 50th anniversary and think "wow we sure were hot" = ). We had our pictures taken at the sky bar in long beach. I was the place he first told me he loved me. So it will always be "our spot". Make sure to share your pictures when you get them back = )
I wore jeans and a pink shirt, hubby wore jeans and a striped blue and white button down top. To be honest I don't love the way the jeans looked. If I could do it again I'd wear a dress or skirt, something a little more formal and cute. It was super cold, though, so that probably wouldn't have worked out well either. Another tip is to wear something fitted- I thought I'd look fat so I chose something loose, and in some of the pictures I look like I'm hiding something! Hello maternity shirt!!! You can see my pictures in the gallery of my profile (sorry, on my iPhone, can't upload into this post). My last tip is to wear something comfortable, because it's going to be exhausting!

Here is what we wore (and used this pic for our STD). I am in a sundress with brown flipflops and he is in a white shirt, khaki shorts and brown flipflops. We didn't change. I loved our outfits but it would have been nice to have some variety to the pictures.
Sorry couldn't add text after uploading the picture for some reason...
This is what we wore. It was kind of a after thought to get pictures done, Only after our photographer suggested them (they came with the price of booking the wedding). I was going to wear this for the rehearsal dinner..but now have something else in mind (can't wear the same thing! lol :)
good luck and post some pictures after! :)
@ Amberdawn - LOVE THAT OUTFIT!! Where did you get it?? :)
My e-pics are next Friday, and I'm starting to stress a little...lol. I already have a dress picked out from Express-- see below-- not a fan of the white belt they stuck on there though....I think it looks much better without it, the belt makes it look too bulky or something. Anyway, was thinking that dress and black flats.
Now I'm starting to over think though. Was going to have FH wear dark jeans and a black button up but now I'm thinking maybe he should wear something a little more fun..maybe a plaid button down instead or something....I don't care for the super matchy-matchy look...it's just not us. On my photog's site almost all of the couples are pretty casual and not matchy and I think that looks great. (if that's your style)
My advice would be to do a trial run a week or two before (I'm planning on it this weekend!)....find the outfit you think you want to wear, do your hair, makeup etc...that way you know what to expect. :)

Trial run- Great idea!
Amberdawn- I love your outfit!! I'm thinking I'll be in some white but with splashes of color- that yellow is my favorite!
Can't wait to post pictures :)
I did one change in outfit because I knew my feet would hurt after a while in heels. I wore one of those convertible dresses in red and he wore jeans with a button white shirt and a black jacket. Then I changed into jeans with a blue tank top with a black bolero jacket & he took off his jacket & unbutoned the shirt to reveal the black shirt he was wearing underneath, so he was more casual. here's a couple of pics.

im thinking some jeans and some cute boots or shoes... and a nice shirt..
I seriously dont know what to wear i think we might take our lakers gear to get a few pics in it we are Die hard lakers fans go to games every year and went to the parade..
I would suggest wearing something very YOU. Something you would normally wear.
For me, I didn't know they were engagement pictures haha. Being an amateur photographer, I value high-quality pictures, so I asked my fiance to have our student-photographer-friend do them for us. He proposed during the shoot, haha. If I'd know they would be engagement pictures, I would have worn a dress and heels, my favorite combination.
I wore my favorite jeans, a favorite black top and black flats.
It all depends on your style.
And yes, we did coordinate to an extent. I wore black and jeans, he wore a white polo and jeans. It looked really nice.
I wore dark skinny jeans that I got on sale at American Eagle, a nice brown tank top, a peachy colored ruffled cardigan from J Crew and ballet flats. My FI wore a button down shirt, a vest, and dress pants. We didn't change our outfits, but we did do some pictures with our fall jackets on. We were freezing!
I agree with miss-spunkin. We knew we would be walking around during the shoot, so we did comfortable (jeans) but stylish. See below...

This is what we wore... We stopped home for a bathroom break between DC and Old Town Alexandria, so I switched to another more casual dress (still waiting for the pictures).
We are doing ours May 8th in the town that we met.. its sort of urban with the NYC background.. we will be doing some shots in daylight at the train station and other areas but def want to do some sunset/night shots with the skyline.
For our daytime look i have my red Anthro dress with gold gladiator sandals and gold jewelry. FI is wearing new jeans, brown flip flops and a brown polo.
For our night look i am wearing dark skinny jeans with a BRIGHT teal button up blouse and fun peacock feather earrings. FI is wearing jeans, black shoes, and a white button up.
I cant wait.

Found what I'm wearing!! Thanks girls for all the ideas and inspirations! Here's a picture of the dress & this awesome necklace I found! I'm a big fan of accessorizing so this dress made that very easy for me :)
