I think I wore jeans and a tee shirt.  I don’t think I had even showered.  It took around 3 minutes.

Haha I wore sweat pants to apply for it. And I picked it up alone in jeans and a t-shirt. I did see a girl who was very dressed up and her mom took a picture of her receiving it though. She just had on a summer causal dress.

I don’t think I’ll be any more dressed up than a normal work day for me which is jeans and a top. I actually work in the same building where we have to get our license. So I just need to make a trip to the first floor.

We are both required to be present to apply for the license. I think I will be able to pick it up on my own, probably on one of my breaks.

Uh, i don’t think doing that is nothing to dress up for. I’ve done it before. Simple filing and filling out papers. Nothing special. Jeans and a shirt.  Something comfy!

@Swizzle:  my thoughts exactly. Went on my own to city Hall last Friday to pick it up. Could not tell you what I was wearing, nor do I care, just like I don’t care what I wear when I drop my income tax in the mail (which is how I see paying for a marriage license-as a tax)

I wore jeans and a tshirt. The process took less than 10 minutes and there was nobody there except us, a witness, and the woman who did our application.

I wore a maxi dress but was somewhat rumpled from 4+ hours in the car by the time we got to the County office…which had a “no pictures” policy inside.  It was totally anti-climactic and not worth making a production out of IMHO, but that said – you do you!

We did the paperwork online and just had to go down to verify our identities and whatnot. I did it during my lunch, so I had on khakis and…I don’t even remember.
