How formal is your wedding, what time is it, and websites the venue?

PenguinLove:  Here’s DH and the guys:

I had no input in his attire, I told him to wear whatever he wanted.  He wanted a tux, went to Mens Wearhouse on his own and picked it out.  At one point he said he wanted to wear a velvet robe and a crown, like a king, but I called his bluff and told him to go for it.  He didn’t 🙂

I love the casual look though, I’d have been just as happy to see the guys in khakis and plaid shirts too.  What are you leaning toward?

We eloped at City Hall and we were not super formal. He wore a grey suit he owned already, and a lighter purple button down and purple tie (plus Batman tie clip)

My husband is NOT a suit guy, so after talking about it we decided that he would just wear the one suit he already owns. It’s a few years old, but it just felt like such a waste of time and money to hunt down something else that would then spend the next decades not being used. He did buy a new shirt though and we got matching ties for him and his best man.

I was wearing a tea length dress and the dress code was “smart causal” or something along those lines.

semi-formal, groom wore a suit (not tuxedo) with a vest. groomsmen wore matching suits, no vest.

PenguinLove:  My FI will be wearing a morning suit – grey. So as formal as it gets for a day wedding, though the festivities will continue through the night. I made the suggestion and he got final say. He liked it a lot when he tried it on.

My fiancé is planning on wearing a three piece suit (not a tux or a morning suit) and I think his best man will wear a suit too. We’re having a semi-smart winter wedding.

My husband wore black slacks, black dress shoes, a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and black suspenders.

He didn’t reLly have much say, but he also didn’t really care. His words, “So long as I don’t look like a clown, I’ll wear whatever you want.”

The groomsmen wore basically the same, except colored shirts and grey slacks.

For my sister’s wedding the guys wore basically the same except casual vests, instead of suspenders.

The wedding is 2 o’clock in the afternoon with festivities going into the night. FI has complete control over what he and the groomsmen will wear. He wears a suit pretty much every day and is a great dresser. He’s planning on a 3 piece charcoal suit and the groomsmen will also be in suits (either grey or black…undecided). They will be wearing ties.

DH chose what he wore for our formal wedding – he wanted a three piece dinner suit with satin peak lapels, a wing tip collared white shirt and a champagne fat boy tie. Groomsmen were in the same but with a black patterned fat boy tie. They all looked amazing!
