What do I bring/wear to a dress sale?

Oh! Please let us know how it goes. If I don’t have a dress by October (I should since my wedding is next spring), I plan on going to one near here. If I don’t go, then I’ll probably donate my dress after the wedding. 🙂

I would wear under garments that would be similar to what you are planning on wearing under a dress….also, make sure the clothing you are wearing to the sale are EASY to get on and off (I would do sweats with flip flops)….also, have your makeup done, and do your hair in a similar style you are thinking of doing for your wedding….

I’d try to go light on the makeup.  I’d hate to smear foundation or eyeliner all over a dress while I’m changing in or out of it.

A strapless bra, a conservative pair of panties (or spanx), and shoes that are easy to get on-off!

Also, go easy on the make up! You don’t want to stain the dresses!

I’m glad you posted this because I was wondering the same thing!

Is this a “Running of the Brides” type of event?

Strapless bra, light colored conservative undies, and easy on-off shoes. I wouldn’t wear a ton of makeup as you may end up getting it on the dresses.

when i went dress shopping, i wore bikini underwear and brought a strapless bra with me.

i don’t wear makeup regularly, but i wouldn’t suggest makeup because it will get all over the dresses you are taking on and off.

if you want to bring shoes do, i just used a pair at the stores when i went.

@MaryRachel:  Yeah, it does sound different. I know a friend did a “running of the brides” sale and color-coordinated her team in hot pink tye-dyed shirts so they could easily locate one another. Seems too stressful to me — she ended up buying a dress in the excitement, but later bought a different dress because she realized she made a bad decision in all of the pressure and excitement that day.

@MaryRachel:  Good! Do we get to see what dress you chose? 😉
