Personally, I would suck it up for 2 months and get the part-time job.  It will be tiring, but your schedule will calm down soon.

@LadyBlackheart:  …is selling back the car an option? I don’t know how public transport is where you live though.

It sounds like the car is causing you a bunch of extra expenses that might not be necessary.

Either that, or just do the PT job for 2 months…

How much extra money do you need each week?  I would start with that amount, and find a job that gives you as close to that amount with as few work hours possible.

Can you tutor?  Do you have a BA?

Dude, you have to take this class. I think it will really affect the way your boss looks at your drive, etc if you drop out of it. Bite the bullet and be broke for a few months. It will really be hard, but I think it will pay off in the long run. you can do it! Especially with the support and help from your SO and family. Think of it as an investment in your future family/marriage.

@LadyBlackheart:  If you drop out, be prepared that your boss may ask you to reimburse him the cost of the course (which could be quite expensive).  It’s not fair he should be out money because you were disorganized.

If you look for a new job, be prepared that this job is unlikely to give you a good review or reference.

You can definitely do it for 2 months.  The time will fly by.

@LadyBlackheart:  That’s what we’re here for. Seriously, you’ll figure it out. I try to tell myself this stuff all the time. (I happen to be going through a less-than-ideal work/life/family balance thing at the moment)
