You can take it to a jewellry shop for an appraisal. I would be worried you didn’t get what you asked for if the maker is dragging his feet. Don’t stress about that until you get an appraisal. Good luck!

You can take it to a jeweler for an appraisal. I have a moissy and my appraisal just says something along the lines of “7mm FB round moissanite”, nothing special. I would also be wondering if you really got what you asked for, so you need to get an appraisal. Personally, I would probably just send the moissy back and get your own and have it set by a local place.

Well, also, the C&C paperwork doesn’t really say anything except that you have a C&C moissanite and the warrenty is simply for sparkle and brilliance, not for any issues with the stone itself. Don’t know if that helps at all.

How can she get her money back for having the stone so long already ?

vhenke1:  Not really sure, but she mentioned filing a credit card claim so I just went with what she said. I don’t know if that would work or not.

OP, I agree with jillbean1217: the C&C paperwork wasn’t really anything besides a code you entered online. Didn’t guarantee damage or anything like that. It’s not really a big deal, but if it gives you peace of mind it would be worth it.

Your ring is so beautiful…one of my favorites on WB and I’m so sorry there is negativity associated with it and your engagement.

If a local jewler isn’t able to appraise it, perhaps you could send it into NAGL (or call to find a local office), the organization that grades Amora Moissanite.  Helzberg sells FB Moissanite rings and might have the skill to appraise it.  If your FB Moissanite is laser inscribed with an ID, perhaps C&C could use this information to verify it’s one of their stones and send you a copy of the warranty. It’s quite a workaround to get something this vendor should have sent.

With regard to a wedding ring, Brilliant Earth sells a few styles that have similar etching:

If you contact c &c through moissanite.com they can probably send you a stone appraisal and forever brilliant card. I believe the stones have a cert number on the girdle.
