Okay, I know it’s only September and we’re WAY too early to be thinking about this but I’m trying to plan out Christmas gifts for my two cousins. They’re 16 and 14 (or 17 and 15- I’m not 100% sure. We don’t really ever see them, I wish we we closer) and both in high school. I was thinking a gift card but DH was thinking clothes. They live in LA and are a pretty fashionable family but don’t play lots of video games or anything.
What do boys that age like??

I always think picking out clothes for other people is tricky — it’s pretty much impossible to get the right style and sizing. I’d go with a gift card to a cool clothing store.

Gift card or cash unless their parents confirm a video game they want.

Our oldest nephew is 14. He loved video games (primarily for the Xbox 360), and clothing. I know he likes Aeropostale, American Eagle, and Hollister the best.
If you’re looking to spend a little more, I know all of the kids in his high school really want those “Beats by Dre” headphones. He’s been begging for them for at least a year. They’re pricey, but I’m sure they would LOVE them!

Teenage girls, lol. 😉
What about a set of headphones? Or a pair of jeans with a gift card in the pocket?

(P.S. — It’s also only September, not October yet. You’re getting a little ahead of the calendar! Don’t rush the Autumn season, I’m not ready for Christmas! lol)

I would definitely give them giftcards! The Visa ones are extra-awesome, since they can use them like credit cards!

@MrsEdamame: haha! I edited it. Didn’t realize I was a month off!

Cash is king! Every teenager likes money. It’s also good if you’re not exactly sure what they want or if you can’t talk to mom and dad about things they already have.

I wouldn’t do clothes unless you really know their style. I’d say gift card or cash.
Maybe a gift card to their favorite clothing store, favorite restaurant, iTunes gift card, Amazon gift card, or something that can be used anywhere like a Visa gift card.

Video games, if you know what console they have. Or cash.

@cooperlove: All teenagers love cash, or gift cards. Clothes is a nice idea, but IMO not a good choice…..they may not like what you pick.

@cooperlove: Money will always and forever be the best gift for a teenager hahaha.
