I’ve been lurking on the boards for awhile, but finally got the courage to make my own account. I’m an october 2012 bride and have tried this dress on.. loved how I felt in it, but am worried it might be too plain. What do you all think? Looking for some opinions. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of myself in it.. the bridal shop wouldn’t allow it until I make a final decision. Just to give you an idea though… I’m 5”5 and about 130lbs

I think it’s lovely, simple but still very striking. I prefer simple dresses as it gives you a lot of options in terms of accessories/jewellery etc to jazz it up. Have you had any ideas of what bits you might wear with it?

I thnk it’s a beautiful dress! and the draping and flower details spice it up so it doesn’t really seem plain at all. And Snowden is right, you can go crazy with jewelry and accessories!

I think this dress is amazing! I love the clean lines. Though nothing like mine, it is so perfect for certain people/weddings. 🙂

I love the clean lines of the dress, it’s very striking. I think it’s a beautiful dress and I love the cut of it. Don’t stress about it being simple because you have an advantage over other brides who don’t have a similar dress — You can go crazy with the type of jewelry you want to wear!!! Go for a statement necklace or earrings paired with a elegant bracelet.

I voted love it. You want to be wearing the dress and not the dress wearing you. Simple is better for sure. It’s simple in a good way. If you love it that is what matters.

too plain is difficult to acheive in a perfectly presses white gown… It will look wonderful!!

It’s really hard to say without seeing you in it. All I can tell you is I’m just about your height and weight and when I tried on dresses of this style (either a very full a-line or ball gown) I looked swallowed up and lost in the fabric. The dress was wearing me more than I was wearing it. It’s a beautiful gown and silhouette, but it’s not for everyone, as I found out for myself 🙂 Good luck!
