i am just curious to know what everyone’s pet name for the baby is. Hubby and I just refer to the baby as “Baby (Whatever the size of the baby is for that week)”. I look at different sites and figure out which I like best. For instance it has been Baby Poppyseed, SweetPea, and now TicTac (didn’t like blueberry).

Well, our last name starts with a B. So we call it Baby B. 🙂

I sometimes call it rubber ducky, because the first thing Darling Husband said when he saw the ultrasound was “It looks like a duck”. Other than that, it’s the baby or the kid.

Sadly, we didn’t have a set nickname until a few weeks ago. At first, it was whatever the fruit was…so my little blueberry, or lemon, and Darling Husband (lovingly) called it “the parasite”. Then it was Frances for a while, and then Aerin (we’re Team Green, so we were trying to use gender-neutral names). On FB I called it Bebe McK********* and then a few weeks ago my SIL was calling it McBebe, which made me facepalm and say “I should have been calling it that the whole time!”
We still sometimes refer to him/her as Aerin, but more often than not it’s McBebe, especially when talking to other people.

We usually call the baby “Taz” – short for Tazmanian Devil because it rarely ever stops kicking!! 🙂

When my sister was pregnant with her first kid (who’s now ten) she was unable to find out the sex ahead of time. I’m assuming that she did not have a nickanme for him before birth. When she was pregnant the second time and found out she was having a girl, she nicknamed her Fifi. (The baby’s official name ended up being Piper. She’ll be a year old in late August.)
I don’t have a nickname for my baby as of yet. Today will be my first attempt to find out what I’ll be having. I may or may not have a nickname for him/her after I find out what I’m having (whether I find out today or have to try again at another time).
For now, he/she is simply known as “the baby”.

Or the [insert comparable fruit size] – aka this week it’s the Lime. According to the What to Expect app 🙂

We called C “the parasite” and then later one when she started movie we called her “the alien”. The alien name got super appropriate when we could see her moving through my skin… creepy.

We were just going with the fruit sizes, but I can’t call my baby a kumquat… LOL! 😀

She has the nickname, Boo. Our original due date was Halloween and it just stuck. But we just decided on her name so we have been calling her that to try it out and see if it works.
