Do you decorate? If you decorate, how do you decorate? Fall decor or halloween decor? Give out candy? Leave candy in a bowl outside your house? Have a party? Take kids(yours or someone elses) trick or treating? Go out for dinner so you arent bothered by kids?
Do you have any traditions?
I dont know what we are going to do this year.

None of the above. Kids don’t trick or treat in apartment complexes, thankfully. When we get a house we’ll probably go all out decorating, haha.
We used to dress up and go with a group downtown to some bar’s big Halloween party, but we’re too old for that now, haha.

We’ll put out some spooky lights on the bushes, but nothing really crazy. We can’t compete with our neighbor 2 doors down, who goes all out for Halloween. He’s retired and spends weeks setting up his yard with decorations. We do hand out full-size candy bars though. It’s fun seeing kids’ faces light up when we bring out the candy bowl.

My mom and dad come over for dinner and then they hand out our candy while we take our kids trick or treating.

I usually decorate but this year I only put out a Halloween sign since we will be in the beach house for the wedding on Halloween week. We also usually attend a party or two and go out to some bars dressed up in costume. We love Halloween and since my dog was born close to Halloween we celebrate his birthday at an annual Halloween pet walk where the pets wear costumes. The walk is this Saturday and I am excited to get my dog dressed up for it!

We usually go to our bar’s Halloween party, and then hand out candy the night of.

@jesssamesssa: It’s not as pricey as you think. We actually did the math and discovered that it costs about the same for us to hand out one full-size bar as a handful of the fun-size candy (which we used to give out). We buy in bulk at Sam’s Club, otherwise it would be way more expensive.

The past four years we lived in a condo while we went to school and the complex didn’t do Halloween 🙁 This year we have our own house and so we’re decorating and handing out candy! We went all out buying a ton of candy this year and I’m really excited to hand it out!

@jesssamesssa: We don’t have a tradition, but this year we will finally have trick-or-treaters so we will be handing out candy. No parties, although in the last 4 years we have always gone out of town to a club with some friends, but that was because we didn’t have any trick or treaters.Otherwise, we are not party people and prefer to stay home.
I have some fall decor up, but mostly Halloween, which will stay up until November 1. I have a green ghost that glows, a black pumpkin that glows green placed in the window, and purple lights wrapped around the stairs. Before the day of I will be putting up some orange and black streamers. And the dog will get to wear his devil costum for a photo op 🙂

I decorate thoroughly. I love Halloween! We get a ton of trick-or-treaters, also. On the actual day, if it is during the week, we hand out candy. Over the closest weekend we dress up and party!

We don’t have any traditions, and we live in an apartment building with no kids so I doubt we’ll get any trick-or-treaters.
However, Wicked is coming back to Chicago on the 30th – and so we’re gonna go play the Wicked Lotto on Halloween. (My husband has had amazing luck with it in the past – so hopefully we’re able to get tickets!)
