I cook a BIG breakfast for me and the SO. His fave is french toast, so I'll do up some stuffed french toast this year with strawberries and cream cheese, it's sooooo good :)
The rest of the day we usually curl up and watch movies from the past year we haven't had a chance to watch yet. So far we have Contagion, Bridesmaids, 50/50 and Midnight in Paris on the list to watch.
Happy 2012!!!!
Reeeelax and watch the Winter Classic (hockey), but it's on the 2nd this year since New Year's Day falls on a Sunday and that's football day. Haha. I work tomorrow night so I will definitely be sleeping most of the day away.
We go out to brunch every year! Late, of course, in case of hangover.
Usually sleep in, work off that hangover!
We also have a huge family dinner at my aunt's house every year. It a huge pasta feast and it's like Christmas 2.0 with lots of food and the whole family. I'm sad I can't go this year because I have tickets to Blue Man Group (but the show will hopefully be good!)
I don't really view it as any different than any other random day. So far today, DH and I slept in and he's been playing Skyrim on PS3 while I'm on WB.
This year we went out to breakfast with my brother and his girlfriend. I try to eat somewhat healthy on NYD just to start things off right. We just relaxed and have been watching movies all day.

After all the hoopla of new year's eve, what do you do on New Year's day to start the new year off right? For the past two years I have invited friends over to watch bowl games. Since we canceled cable and the games aren't on til 1/2, we aren't sure what we are going to do.
