- Shop Weddingbee
I stay up way past my bedtime when mr. tofu is not around. And I do a lot more singing and dancing, too. hahah
Luckily, we share the same taste in food, so that's no biggie. But he's ALWAYS nagging me about leaving work on time, and going to bed early. What a grandpa!
We're living apart right now and I definitely am eating more fun things on my own! I"m also reading more ... less snuggling in bed watching TV and more reading books! I'm happy about it and when we're back together I plan to institute it! :)
Ah... I love reading in bed. He hates when I read in bed. Maybe we should do more snuggling in bed watching tv and less reading. We did a lot of that when we first started dating (since I was living with my mom and it was the only way to get some privacy) and we usually got a little bored of the tv and did other things instead....
Ha our TV watching typically leads to other things as well .... which is why I instituted "Rule #1" ... No TV while other things are going on ... we still don't have a Rule #2 ... :) :)
Since my hubby is a firefighter he works 24 hour shifts, he'll be gone one day and home all the next day. So, on days he isn't here, I indulge in Weddingbee (more than when he is here) and I stay up way too late usually.
I stay up late, watch marathons of The Real Housewives and wedding shows, do my nails, organize, go into full-on wedding obsession mode, etc. Surprisingly, I like to spend the time by myself--"me" time is is a favorite past time of mine!
Wow, what is a WW2 reenactment! That sounds really cool :-).
When Bee is out of town, I catch up on old episodes of Charlie Rose. The show tends to put her to sleep, so I just DVR them and wait for her to leave town. During her last trip to LA, I watched 20 episodes in a row while I worked on the PC next to the TV set!
As you can see, I go crazy when my mrs. is out of town!
When Mr. Bananas is out of town (on work trips, or volunteering for the weekend) I watch wayyyyy too much TV, and stay up toooo late. I also usually try to plan a girls night of some sort so I don't spend like 3 days watching tv and eating nachos, lol. He has more trips coming up soon so I'd better start coming up with ideas!
I drink soda, watch Lifetime, paint my nails, and sit around in the most hideous lounge-wear you could possibly imagine.
It's very rare for Mr. PG to be traveling w/o me...but when it does happen, my diet consists of mostly pizza and junk food (he prefers home cooked meals), I spend guiltless hours at the mall, and indulge myself in late night reruns of my fave reality TV shows (....Real Housewives, anyone??)...
But I promise, somewhere in there, I do miss Mr. PG a litte. ;-)
I know that I listen to a lot more Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls on our Ipod Dock when he's gone. I watch Oxygen. I try to cook..."try" being the operative word.
Mr. Bee, a WWII reenactment is basically a bunch of grown men pretending they are fighting WWII. This happens to be a Battle of the Bulge reenactment. He loves them. Think Civil War reenactment, but add tanks and automatic rifles.
Crabcake, you cannibal! Is hubby in Gettysburg?
I don't really do anything out of the ordinary that I wouldn't do when he's home. Except maybe fart. LoL.
When my husband is out of town, I watch read, watch a lot of bad tv (he can't stand it), and work on crafts.
I usually become a hermit and invite my friends over, or go out- but I try to remain low key!
Crabcake, I snorted and laughed at your explanation of what a WWII reenactment is. Since my FI moved, I became a hermit and spend my time studying/ watching girlie tv he wouldn't care for.
Sushi, He's in Fort Indiantown Gap, PA. But, we went to Gettysburg this summer, it was fantastic!
Yeah, rawr...Meat!! LOL
But look how amazing he is all dressed up?!
Funny Crabcake. :-)
When Hubs is gone, I shop like crazy. I never shop with the Mr. because he can't stand it. So when he's gone, I hit up the malls. I also clean. For some reason, I don't like cleaning when he's home but I don't mind when he's gone. I think I just can't stand seeing him sit there when I'm cleaning. Makes me not want to clean either. But when he's gone, it's theraputic to clean.
I usually clean, watch chick flicks and enjoy actually have room in the bed to stretch out, lol.
@ Mrs. Eggplant, I clean too! I hate cleaning when he is around, but I kind of enjoy it when he's not. I like doing girly movie marathons while I clean or blasting music.
I watch the television shows I feel bad making him watch with me, do a sloppy job of housekeeping, and spend the last several hours before he returns busting my behind to get things clean again. He's military school tidy and I am . . . more "organized chaos." The chaos comes out when he is gone.
Every weekday I have to myself since the FI lives the next state over. I mostly do school work since I'm finishing up my undergrad degree. I occisionally go out with girlfriends for wings and beer!
I mope, go to class, watch chick flicks, stay up faaaar too late, get super-paranoid about door-to-door salesmen, try to find -anyone- to cook for, leave my shoes, dishes, etc., everywhere, and go for especially long walks with my puppy. Also, I spend far more time hanging out with my Starbucks coworkers, my parents, my cousin, etc.
I hog the bed and eat Rice Krispies for dinner instead of cooking a proper meal. :)
Penguin... I second that. When my FI is out of town, I go home. I spend time with my family. I sometimes get together with some friends, but mostly I mope at home.
He's only been out of town once, and I had a sleepover partay with my girlfriends. It was awesome!
My FI just went out of town for a few days. I hung out at my parents on the weekdays (which I usually do anyway since he works evenings) and on the weekend I attended girl's night! Other than that I clean, watch my shows, play with my puppy, and of course plan for the wedding!

Mr. CC is in PA at a WWII reenactment. I'm eating all kinda of things he doesn't like. Artichokes, asparagus, and brussel sprouts mostly. And Sushi. It's my routine when he's gone.
