What do you do when you feel sick?

Tea with honey helps me sometimes.  Other times I want fruit.  Whatever it is that seems appetizing at the time, I eat.  Sometimes if it’s alcohol related that might be poutine lol

If I really feel bad, giving myself something to focus on without require any effort.  I find podcasts are perfect for this, as my eyes don’t have to be open.

@MsLobizon:  Ginger tea will help with the nausea and inflammation. I’d dilute it though, as it may irritate an ulcer.

I eat everything and I mean EVERYTHING.  I lose a lot of weight when I’m sick so since I’m always hungry I eat.  I drink about two cups of herbal tea and lots of water, lay down on the couch, watch tv, and eat eat eat.

If I’m feeling nauseous, eating saltine crackers and drinking Sprite always helps me. In addition to your laptop, maybe start or re-watch a funny tv series? For me, I always re-watch old episodes of The Office because it’s familiar background noise and it makes me laugh. Maybe you have a show like that which could distract you? I hope you feel better soon!

Sleep, and rest. I also will drink sprite zero to keep hydrated. Netflix or old movies are always good to have handy. Eat small meals, but often when possible. I hope you feel better soon!

Lay in bed, watch copious amounts of either Dexter or Fringe on my laptop while eating honey on toast.

if i feel sick i drink milk.

I take a lot of pain medication for my arthritis and this helps me.

Fresh air…open a window, go outside! I also go with the attitude of if food as going down then hopefully sick won’t come up!

Ginger ale! It’s my go to for nausea. For stomach pain, peppermint tea. I’ve suffered from stomach issues my whole life, and while I have prescriptions for them, I turn to the home remedies that I listed above first and they truly help me out. Also, a heating pad on my tum works wonders. I hope you feel better. <3
