@figgnewton:  He only has to once a month (thank goodness) but I usually end up overeating and get a little drunk watching Disney channel and looking at wedding magazines 😡

My fiancé works 2-10 Monday-Friday. We don’t live together right now so I guess when we get married it’ll be very similar to now…I’ll just wake up in the night to discover a body in the bed with me!

Wine, reality tv, any time consuming beauty treatment I’ve been meaning to do like hot oil hair or face masks.  Basically anything that I like to do that SO doesn’t.  I actually look forward to my one night a week of alone time 🙂

I either work on some overtime that I brought home or just watch TV. One of my very guilty pleasures are the horrible, cheesey, overdramatic movies on Lifetime. I don’t usually get a chance to watch them though so when my FI is out I can’t help myself 🙂

Fi has to work the closing shift a minimum of 3 nights a week. I have my own shows on netflix that I watch, or I read, or hang out on weddingbee. Last night I knitted while watching a couple of documentaries recommended on the ‘what’s the best documentary you’ve ever seen?’ AskReddit thread.

@figgnewton:  Well that still leaves binge eating and Disney channel 😉

@figgnewton:  UGH!!! I’m dealing with this right now. The bigwigs from Europe are visiting for a week of ridiculous meetings. My SO usually comes home for lunch and then straight home after work. Because of the crazy meetings, he’s having lunch at work and there’s some “social” thing every night that spouses are not allowed at! WHAT?! So annoying.

Monday they went to Lucky Strike. I dropped SO off, went shopping, then picked him up.

Yesterday it was some fancy dinner at the Trump Golf Course. I watched FRIENDS reruns and ate dessert for dinner 😛 When he came home and was telling me about the food I told him to suck it.

Tonight we planned to go to the movies but his boss decided she wants to schmooze their European counterparts. BOOO!!! Stupid lady effing up our date night.

I told him if stuff comes up for Thursday and Friday he’s leaving me cash and I’m spending it on frivolous things. 😛

@figgnewton:  FI works 2-10 (which is really 1-11 with the commute), every day, Wednesday-Sunday.

Honestly, I am trying out some new hobbies and things to keep me busy.  I’m done working every day by 4:30, and then I usually watch some tv, make myself dinner, and then I’ll either work out, read, or watch a movie.  I’ve also recently started refurbishing old furniture, which takes time and keeps me busy.  It’s been an adjustment, but we make it work.

Dh works 7pm-7am shifts, so when he’s gone I watch all the tv shows he hates 🙂

@Kit_Kath:  Oh! Right. I forgot that I also busted out my 5x magnifying mirror and went to TOWN on my eyebrows last night. Maybe tonight I’ll do a mud mask or something. Good call.

@figgnewton:  I usually hang out with our puppy, lol. FI has switched to shift work so some weeks I see him constantly, and other weeks I barely see him at all. Either that or I will just go to bed early and get a really good night’s sleep. I am pretty boring overall 😛

My DH doesn’t work nights but if he did, I’d go hang out with my friends or spend some quality time with myself – catching up on shows he doesn’t like to watch, eat the food he doesn’t like, etc.  I love my alone time!
