DH is out tonight, so I bought a frozen mushroom and garlic pizza and some cookies for dinner. I have left over breadsticks from last night's dinner, yum!!! I'm totally bad with my food when he's out for the night!! Does anyone else do that??
Things that DH won't eat for dinner LOL. Egg rolls, smoothies, chips...I usually end up snacking so much I'm not hungry for "real" food even if I start out with good intentions!
@Running Elley: You're right, I should mention Mr.D hates cheese. So I love to indulge while he's away!
@dorsay: I eat the cheese I don't want him to eat because I love it so much, lol! I can be such a brat!!!
Usually when I am alone (which NEVER happens) I usually don't eat because I am too lazy lol
I like morning start chicken nuggets, or veggie burgars. They are so easy to make and very tasty.
I usually make chicken and veggies because it's easy. But sometimes I'm bad. :)
@tranquility: Guaranteed if DH is out, I don't cook unless it goes in the oven or microwave. More often than not, I'll order in or pick up something like McD's since I barely eat it :)
@NYCcaliBRIDE: same, the morningstar buffalo wings are my go to. I also tend to eat a lot of bagel bites, goldfish, cheese and red bull. haha
@dorsay: I am the same way. Cheese and crackers is my go-to when FI is not home.
Other than cheese, I will have bean dip and chips. Refried beans, salsa, and mexican blend cheese baked in a single serve dish. so good!
jumbo marshmallows if I'm not feeling healthy. My usual go to Trader Joe's mushroom flatbread pizza. So good.
Today I had Asian chicken & veggie stir fry with rice noodles. My husband works from 5PM to 1:00AM, so I'm alone most nights.
I usually reserve being "bad" for when he's actually home.
Cereal, spaghettios, chips and salsa, or fast food. I have no shame when I eat alone...and its probably best I don't get to do it that often!
left overs, cereal, cookies, pretzels, i tend to kind of graze through the night.
Something fast and easy, like cereal or ramen noodles, because I'm LAZYYY!
@dorsay: I cannot fathom a person who does not like cheese!! Hubs and I eat it in almost every meal, its crazy. We always have at least a bag of shredded cheese, cheese sticks, blocks of cheese and sliced cheese in at least 4 different flavors at all times...
It depends on my mood. I like to go to Target and get CPK frozen pizzas with toppings he doesn't really like and then eat the whole thing :/
CEREAL, SALAD, CEREAL, SALAD....and repeat!! LOL
Cereal is like my deadly weapon I love it, but hardly eat it and I have salad everyday, but I enjoy it and so does the waist line, haha ;)
Definitely things he doesn't favor! Noodle soups, rice porridge, and sometimes, just lots of pickles :)
I know my husband eats a lot of cereal when I'm gone!
Hm, I usually pick something up. It's nice just to spend money on one person for once. Not that I mind spending money on the both of us though!
I almost always eat cereal when Mr. Cardy isn't home for dinner. Guilty pleasure! :)
@dorsay: Oh thank god ... I thought I was the only one that eats just ... cheese.
I eat dinner by myself almost any night, as he works much later than me. I just eat stuff I really like (rotisserie chicken, cereal, cheese, brussel sprouts, strawberry shortcake, etc etc).
Oh man.. he is the cook, so when he is gone I eat such junk. Whatever is easy. The worst would probably be a bowl of lucky charms lol. Otherwise whatever is easy - grilled cheese, cheese quesadilla, tuna salad, potstickers (the kind that are frozen and you just heat up). etc.
@couawilou: DITTO, and FI thinks it is the grossest thing ever. Too funny
Mostly I will have Wheat Thins with chip dip, or cereal, or leftovers...right out of the rubbermaid cold standing in front of the fridge.
Oh my gosh, two weeks ago my mom had my daughter and Mr. Cannon was sleeping. So I went to the cupcake bakery and ate THREE cupcakes for dinner. It was AWESOME.
I usually eat something simple and something my fiance doesn't like - a lot of the time a BLT, because he hates tomatoes.
I'll usually eat something easy from our freezer, like frozen crab cakes, smothered in minced garlic!
My hubs almost always gets drive thru when I'm not home. I probably would too, if I weren't too lazy to get in the car!
FI went out with some guys after work so I'm flying solo. On the menu tonight is some extra sharp cheddar cheese, garlic club crackers and a heineken light.
I eat less when I'm home alone bc I dont think of food 24/7 like he does! Seriously my go to foods are comfort foods in a way; strawberries with melted chocolate, cereal or heated up chocolate milk with pound cake slices.
