We’re getting married 11.11.11 too! I’m actually getting deployed next year so I’ve jumped on alot of stuff.

-Dress was first. My Mom came to visit so we went looking and found one! it should be here in Nov.

-Church- we’re doing a destination, kind of. He’s from Baton Rouge, so we decided New Orleans would be fun. Some of the oldest churches in the US are there. booked it as soon as i realized the day we picked was 11.11.11. happened by coincidence, one of his good friends will be on deployment until then and we wanted them to be there so we pushed it back and then we can’t do it on saturday because there is a LSU football game and a lot of his friends wouldn’t come or be really upset they were missing the game. so friday it was.

-Reception- I just fell in love with it and didn’t want to look anywhere else. food is catered through them and so is the cake.

-Invitations- same as reception, was just googling and saw ones that i really liked. i haven’t ordered them yet, but i know what colors.

-bridesmaid dresses- that was pretty easy

-band- almost. our first pick was already booked. i contacted our second pick and they told me they have to give another person 24 hrs before they can commit to me.

-bagpiper for the ceremony

-colors of flowers

-found the shoes i want, purchased veil and jewelry

-house to rent for the week before

I just booked my venue (for both ceremony and reception)! Yay! Other than that:

I have a dress, shoes & tiara

I’ve started a spreadsheet for catering options

I’ve decided how to DIY my centerpieces

I’ve researched flowers and have pretty much decided how to do that

I’ve bought my Save-The-Date Cards, invitations, and a custom return address stamp and have started purchasing programs (I’m getting them from Michael’s with coupons and you can only use one coupon per visit)

I know I don’t have a lot actually done but it’s so great to have a date. I feel like it’s so much easier to plan other stuff now.

So far I’ve booked the venue, a photographer and a videographer.

I went dress shopping last month and will probably get my dress by this November.

Yeah 11.11.11!

I’m a 11-12-11 bride and I have the church, reception venue, makeup artist, photographer and dj all picked and deposits paid.

I do have a dress, but it was actually a dress that I got from a now ex-friend for free and I’m just not feeling it anymore. I feel kinda aggravated everytime I look at it because it gives me bad memories of our friendship and I just don’t want to be feeling like that towards my dress. It just sucks though because it was one of my most favorite dresses and I ended up getting it for free.

I’m a 3-11-11 bride and I have:

– the venue for reception and dinner party

– DJ

– the honeymoon

– guest list

Now we are working on the save-the-dates and choosing the menu for the wedding party. I also want to start looking at dresses (actually, I already am LOL), but some say it’s too soon for this?

Happy planning!

-date (duh)

-rough guest list

We’re currently working on the dress, photography, videography and exact wedding party.

Anyone out there planning on doing something special for your negative 1 year anniversary next month?

Yay, progress to report! We’ve booked the rabbi, priest, DJ, videographer, and photographer. Woohoo! I’ve also chosen the caterer and we’ll book it as soon as Fiance can get off a liquid diet and taste the food. E-pics scheduled for next Saturday.

@yumcheese (love your name btw): I really want to go to dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date for our negative one year! We haven’t been back since, so it would be really special. Now just have to plant that idea in FI’s head.
