Olives (any kind), feta, cucumbers, green/red peppers.
I'd also have either a balsamic or just plain oil and vinegar for people who don't like those creamy dressings.
Olived, hard boiled eggs, chicken, tomatoes, cucmbers, and feta cheese. YUM!
Olives, peas (wasabe and regular), onions, raisins, sunflower seeds
I like a low calorie dressing. Usually a vinigarette will do. It irritates me when there are only high calorie/high salt content salad dressings available.
In addition to the suggestions above, some of my favorites are mandarin orange wedges, crumbled bacon, sunflower seeds, peas, and cress.
I also second SuperKate's suggestion of having a balsamic vinaigrette as well.
Thanks for the ideas ladies! I am a casear salad person so I was at a loss.
cucumbers, pepper, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, kidney beans and/or chickpeas with a vinegrette dressing (balsamic or raspberry).
What you have listed already sounds really good, but I love me some hardboiled eggs on a salad!
I LOVE peas on a salad. I love that you are having options, I know a lot of people like fruit (apples, strawberry, and oranges) in salad, but I don't at all.
Cucumbers, peppers, raspberry vingearette, sunflower seeds or almond slivers, cranberries, goat's cheese (although this could be messy in a buffet).
Pickled Pepperoncini peppers..mmmm so good on salads. they are the peppers in the olive garden salad.
I love fruit - apples, pears, dried cranberries, strawberries, poppy seed dressing is my favorite.
Walnuts, blue cheese, blue cheese dressing, onions, dried cranberries, salt and pepper to grind on top, arugula, feta, artichokes, mozzarella
(and I agree about the oil and vinegar dressing, someting light is always a good option)
Depends on the salad. With Italian food as you are serving, most folks prefer Caesar salad.
The basic salad that you will find at most restaurants that folks generally like is iceberg, carrots, cucumber, tomato, shredded cheddar and croutons, with dressing of their choice.
I love fruit on my salad. Cranberries, candied walnuts, blueberries, strawberries. YUMMY! BUT..with the other things on your menu I would stick with a "normal" italian salad.
The best salad I've ever had: healthy greens, feta cheese, candied walnuts or pecans, chopped up pear or apple, and dried cranberries, tossed with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Amazing.
Cucumber, olives, feta, raddish, broccoli and cauliflower stem things, and red onions (not all at once haha, but those are my favourite additions to a plain salad haha)
ETA: oh and I love peas on my salad (:
I would add a balsamic dressing and maybe cucs, sunflower seeds and olives/peas. :)
@chasesgirl: sunflower seeds, cucumber, roasted red peppers ... nom

We are doing our own rehearsal dinner meal, spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and cheese cake. :) But I am trying to figure out what to get for salad.
We are going to have a basic lettuce mix base, then have for people who want, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, shredded cheese, crutons, parm cheese (like for casear salad) italian dressing, ranch, 1000 island, and casear dressing. What else goes good in just normal salad?
Thanks!
