vip0802: It’s a tradition of mine to always take my ‘birthday week’ off from work. It’s in March, so not a great time of the year weather wise, but it’s my present to myself. I spend the week relaxing and seeing people and generally spending time with me. I love spending time with my extended family; down to my neice, nephew, grandparents etc so usually I have a little birthday lunch and get a small family group together 🙂

We usually just do karaoke or something. Perhaps a dinner where we invite some friends.

This year, I made sure my band has a gig near my bday, so I can use it as a celebratory gig, and then I’m doing a drag brunch the next day with a few friends. 🙂

My birthday was on Friday, so this is fresh on my mind! I usually plan a birthday weekend (call me a princess, but I love birthdays!) and I took Friday off. My sister and I went to get pedis, had lunch, went shopping, and then went for dinner with my mom, sister, DH and SIL. Saturday we had about 20 people over, had catering brought in and just enjoyed an evening with friends. Sunday my mom, sister and I went for a massage (and I would have combined this with Friday, but Mom was working so we moved it to Sunday.) Happy birthday!

We usually book a night at a nice hotel , resort or B&B to celebrate each other’s birthdays. Sometimes we choose something local, other times a short trip.

There is nothing more luxurious to me than breakfast in bed made and served by someone else.

I take anywhere from one to five dear friends out to dinner at one of the good restaurants in my city.

By most people’s standards, I’m a bit dud when it comes to my birthday. I really don’t like to make a big deal, so it’s typically like any other day for me. On my last birthday however, I got off of work early and got a mani/pedi and it was wonderful. I enjoyed it so much that I might have to make it a tradition!

I’m going to a concert in your honor. That’s what you can do. =)

We usually go out to a nice dinner, sometimes stay the night in Philly and have dinner there. That’s actually what I prefer.

It depends, but I love getting all my friends together to visit and have some drinks! I have definitely planned a gathering in less time that you have, why dont you reserve a table at a nearby pub and text everyone you know to meet you there for a casual celebration! For my last birthday, my friend threw me a disney princess themed party, complete with streamers and favor bags lol. I turned 29, so she said it was my last chance for a little kid’s princess party haha. This year, we’re planning a trip to Vegas for the big 30!

I have 2 sets of family plus my in-laws, so there is usually a few birthday dinners & cake eating sessions that happen around every birthday in this family lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

vip0802: I always like to get out during the day and go hiking or mountain biking with my husband. Then we usually have a bunch of friends over to BBQ, play cornhole, have a fire, play music, etc. My birthday was last week and we did this exact thing – tons of fun.

Happy birthday!

I like going to my favorite Thai place with FI and my parents. I don’t need a huge blowout
