I really like hearing about the joys and pitfalls and especially anything that would've been done differently. I know there will probably only be one or two things that "might have been changed" but those are oh-so-helpful to read about. But really I love the wedding p0rn aspect too- lots and lots of wonderous pictures!!!
Is lots of pictures an obvious one. I also like to see the details of the wedding. The DIY stuff that was blogged about coming to life at the wedding.
DETAILS!! Those are always my favorite, where it's just pics of flowers, programs, cakes, centerpieces, etc.
As for Bee recaps, I think Candy Corn and Cheese are my favorites. They were so full of their personalities (both in writing, pics, and details)!
I agree with you-I enjoy hearing about their feelings of the day. And my too favorite recaps so far have been Sea Breeze, Cherry Pie, and Candy Corn. There's a few more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I like dress pix the best. While I love wedding recaps, I like posts about the search for the dress more than anything. I can realte to that the most as it was the biggest deal for me :)
I like posts that are longer, I hate to say. Some of the best ones are like the last post of Haute C, where it went on forever but gave so much info and so many pictures. I'm not really a fan of the "here are 10 lines about these 2 pictures, stay tuned!".
I'd rather have longer posts v. a ton of super short ones.
I'm loving the Star recaps. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Cola's recaps and Lamb's. Then again, I'm a pretty new (in WB terms) WB stalker follower :)
I really like the follow through, where we can see a project that was blogged about and how it worked out
Duly noted about longer posts! I'm probably going to do my ceremony recap as one long-ish post, but I'll have to see. You never know how long a post is going to be until you actually sit down and start writing it!! I'm so excited to share the rest of my wedding with you guys--especially the reception posts, but I gotta take it one step at a time. :)
The first recaps I met were Mrs Tiramisu and I loved them. I like honesty about vendors and details.
I will also be honest with you and tell you that I don't really care for a lot of candid shots that you just scroll through. It's not very fun to see pictures of people you don't know with no explanation or real purpose.
Lots of pictures but in a logical order, and the feelings of the day (but don't make it too negative). Dedicate one post to the things that you thought went wrong on the wedding day and whether or not you laughed them off or how you dealt with them. I just get depressed when I read some recaps that have a negative aspect in every post.
I also like honesty about vendors. And it's nice if you post the names of them too so other brides can contact the vendors or avoid the same mistakes!
I'm with you on the details photos, especially cake and stationary (escort cards, menus, etc). My fav recap so far is Mrs. Cowboy Boot!
The pictures! I've been a fan of Weddingbee, even before I met Mr. Snuggie, mainly because of the pictures on the Blog. The recaps with PICTURES and some humor keep me asking for more.
Oh gosh Quiche, it's tough to read your recaps in winter - they make me want to jet off to Jamaica! :)
My first one just went up, i'm so nervous - it's like starting 1st grade all over again!
The ceremony! I loved Candy Corn's recaps not just because I loved her wedding so much, but because she shared SO much of her ceremony (same with Cherry Pie!). I love following along, with pictures and words, and it gives such a sense of the rest of the wedding, too.
I love pictures, and lots of them. I also like hearing how the wedding really went, the good and the bad, things that the bees would have wanted to change about the day.
I love recaps with useful tidbits of information! Like, what you wished you did, what you did that turned out really well, and any advice regarding timelines, and flow!
Not to mention just detailing out all the fun and emotion!
This is so helpful to read! I'll definitely keep all this in mind when I get to recap land. ;)
I am with the others that said they love reading the ceremony! I especially have enjoyed posts where bees embed the music they had in their posts. Aside from that, I've enjoyed posts that look back at what they wish they'd done differently and what went well and why.
greattt post D'Orsay :) I really love pictures...lots and lots of pictures. And I do agree with the others that say that appreciate honesty...things might not go perfectly, and I like hearing how people deal with the mishaps that come their way...as I'm sure I'm going to have to prepare for similar situations!
pictures (of course), but especially what you felt like, i'd love for it to read like a story and we were guests, something like an article into your wedding day very detailed saying exactly what you felt in the pictures, etc...

I love all the recaps. I really love getting the feeling of the day through the pictures. My favorite pictures are probably from the first look, I love to see the bees and their guys when they first see each other, there is so much love and joy in those pictures.
My favorites have been Candy Corn & Gummi Bear for the humour they put into their posts. But I also loved reading Avocado for really making you feel like you experienced it with the way she wrote about it.

As I'm on the edge of starting my own I wondered, what do you most look forward to in recaps? Some (way too many to name!) of my faves have been hot coccoa who infused hers with such humour, or avocado, cherry pie or sea breeze - both who gave me a real sense of how their wedding felt. I also loves mouses gorgeous pics and style. I think I most like hearing about the feelings of the day, what about you?
