This is a fun post, list one thing you LOVE and one thing you HATE about your job….1, 2, 3 GO!
LOVE: that I have my own office
HATE: when people wear flip flops to work. It sounds unprofessional to be flipping down the hallway and honestly I think it looks a bit sloppy paired with a dressy outfit. Just my two cents – lol.

LOVE: Corner cubicle (HUGE!) with two tall windows! (Can I also add no micro-managing?) hehe
HATE: So quiet, compared to my recent job that I switched from, these cubes are super high and really separate everyone and everyone really keeps to themselves. I mean it’s great when I just want to focus on something…and my former job I was cube neighbors with a LOUD co-worker…I mean obnoxiously loud with no sense of phone voice or when to just stop.. so I guess I just went from one extreme to the next lol.

Love: Having my own office and being able to listen to my own music all day
Hate: Not having a window and my coworker…I am putting up a paper window with a fish tank mural in the background so people quite coming into my office and saying, “You need a window.” Unfortunately there isn’t a fix for my coworker other than him to realize he’s a power monger and needs to treat me as an equal. Luckily I don’t deal with him daily.

Love: Having my own office & having really reasonable bosses when it comes to all of my pregnancy drama. lol
Hate: How those I work for procrastinate and give me things at the last possible moment, leave me to be flustered and in a rush. HATE RUSHINGGGG.

I too do not have a window, I should fashion one on the wall! I love having my own office, but I work in a basement so I never know what the weather is like until I leave for lunch or for the day…I’m either really happy (sunny! warm!) or really sad (cloudy! rainy! cold!)

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
Love: Getting to spend time outside!! (Wildlife biologist.) I also love my own office with its big window : )
Hate: Being away from my husband, kitties, house, friends, etc for much of the spring and summer while i do field work.

Love: Teaching what I’m passionate about (high school English teacher), working with hilarious teenagers who can be so awesomely compassionate and open-minded, when students get into our lessons/activities and actually learn something! *Oh…and right now, summer break!
Hate: The HUGE gap between the classroom and the policy makers. Here I am trying to differentiate my curriculum to reach as many students and help them learn in creative and interesting ways and I have to give them ridiculous standardized tests that in no way measure their true learning and progress.

Love: I get to work from home most days and I prefer not working with employees and being micromanaged
Hate: I don’t really stop working while i’m at home during the day. I eat breakfast and lunch while banging out stuff for my job.
Love: the location, my co-workers (most of them), our facilities, and the pay is pretty good
Hate: how much my job is dependent on other people doing theirs, and how much I subsequently have to chase people.

- Wedding: February 2013 - Mansion House at the MD Zoo
Love: Awesome coworkers and super flexible work environment. Basically making up my own job. Super supportive boss. Lots of cooperation. 7 minute commute.
Hate: People not taking things as seriously as needed or doing them in a timely manner, people whining about being held accountable for doing the stuff they were always responsible for. People who microwave fish.
Love: My primary job tasks and the association I work for.
Hate: People who don’t understand that the deadlines I provide are really, truly deadlines, not just guidelines!
Love: A door with a lock, I don’t work weekends, and I get off at 4: 30pm
Hate: People with keys to my door, incessant emails, inability to call anyone outside the company roster, and making small talk with fellow employees.
