ok, this is probably not what you're looking for...but if I don't know in advance whether there will be an open bar, then when I do see it, I'm like "yay!" :-D

For me, it's the bride's dress. And I want to see it up close, so I'm not really a fan of changing into a different dress for the reception.
My ALL TIME favorite thing is watching the groom's expression as the bride comes down the aisle. Makes my heart melt EVERY time.
I love seeing the bride's dress, and the groom's face when he first sees her!! When he lights up it just makes me so excited and happy for the couple. :)
Also all the details: centerpieces, layout, overall decor.
And...CAKE! :)
I love everything mentioned above, esp. bride's dress. This is a silly one, but I love the escort/seating cards - for some reason I just really like the tradition of seeing my name in print on a pretty card, or written on a rock, or whatever the bride's style is - alongside FI's. That is probably corny, but I'm always excited to go find our table card . . .
I love a unique ceremony. I love it when the couple writes their own vows. I love it! I sit up straighter, listen harder, cry more ... LOVE it.

@Ms. Dove: Oooh so true! I love escort cards, and because I'm a wedding geek, the different ways people display them :)
I also love seeing the parents face when the bride walks down the aisle and when she's being given away. It's always such a tender and beautiful moment.
I of course cant wait to see the bride but mostly I like to see the set up of everything and how everything pulled together. I love to see the unique things the bride and groom do to make it "their wedding" I also love to watch father daughter dances they are always so touching!

@organizedbride11: So true! I especially love it when it's a friend you've seen/heard snippets of what they're doing, but you don't have the whole picture or the context with the venue, other decor, etc. It's always amazing when you get to see the whole thing put together and it "makes sense" :)

My FI and I are total foodies and we are putting a lot of thought and time into our menu. I get so excited when I go to other weddings or events and they have new and interesting food.
Definately the bride's dress, the groom seeing her for the first time. I also love to see the personal touches from the Bride and groom. The cake is something that I also love to see and taste :-)
For sure, the bride. I feel like I can be a very critical person (not intentionally, and I am hyper critical of myself as well), but I have never in my life seen a bride that was anything but gorgeous.
Bride walking down the aisle and the groom (hopefully) smiling. Best moment ever and never fails to bring me to tears.

@oracle: This is also my favorite thing! I usually always tear up too when I see his expression. :)
I like to hear the vows because I'm a sap for some reason and enjoy a good cry lol. Other than that, any sort of edibles are nice!

I love when the bride and groom write their own vows. And I love the dancing portion, i judge wedding by how much i danced lol. And my favorite part is the cake, I always save room for the cake!

I love keeping an eye on the B&G during the reception -- they always share the most tender and loving little moments, and it's fun to see them smile at each other in that "OMGMARRIED" way.
Also, I think it's really interesting that so many people have mentioned "seeing the groom's face when he sees the bride for the first time" as their favorite, when a significant portion of us do a First Look these days. It's still a special moment when she walks down the aisle, of course, but it isn't necessarily the first time he's seen her that day. His original "bride-spotted" expression was already captured hours ago!

I always get really excited to see the bride's dress of course, but also how the reception is set up. I love seeing the centerpieces, and the moment when you walk into the room and it takes your breath away with how pretty it is! I love that!!! I also love to see the unique touches a bride and groom put in to make the wedding about "them" :)
