Ohhh I've always loved your dresses (have had your site bookmarked for years). Although I might be a lil' biased since I wore a kimono to my high school prom. ![]()
I'm partial to red dress. Beautiful work!
Oh wow, that's beautiful! I LOVE the first and third photos. The red/gold is so gorgeous. I'd wear that for my wedding, and I'm not Japanese in the least.
Hi mssushi-san! :)
Thanks so much for your comment and checking my website. :) (To be honest, I'm terrible at computer and I have no idea how to update a homepage...I always ask my brother but we'll have to renew it very soon. I just made my blog that's linked to my homepage, so I will be updating more stuff there.)
Great idea to wear a kimono on your prom though! I haven't had a chance to wear anything special on any of my ceremonies...too bad. :(
I love red as well, it's one of my favorite color. I've designed so many dresses and I should know by now which color&design would fit me...but I guess it's a totally different thing when you're making your own dress.
I love your name by the way! ;)
Rosychicklet-san!:)
Thank you very much for your sweet comment! All my customers and those models who wear my kimono dresses on fashion shows look absolutely stunning. I really hope that I will look good (or at least okay) on my wedding..
marquisemiss-san! :)
Thank you very much for your sweet comment on my kimono dresses. Some of my friends (Portuguese, American, Canadian and Italian) let me design their wedding dresses made from kimono. They looked absolutely beautiful and I'm sure you will, too! :) I call my kimono dresses a "fusion", as their designs are very modern but using the Japanese traditional kimono for material. Anyone will look great, I'm sure of that. :)
I love the first orande kimono dress, too. Unfortunately it's sold out but I would like to have the same design and that long train for my wedding dress.
Harper-san! :)
Thank you very much for your comment! I'm still very new (just registered this morning) at this site and please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. (which I always do. :(
They have so many interesting posts and I can't wait to read more!
Those are so striking! I love the train! Can they come in any colors, or are they only available in shades of red/orange/ivory? I wish I had a reason to wear one!
Happy Camper-san!:)
Thank you for your comment! :) I personally like red as well, so I'm looking for a red-based kimono for my wedding dress.
driftslikesmoke-san!:)
Thank you for your comment! I love the long train and I always make it the longest possible. Dress can be any color depends on which kimono you select. I have made yellow, purple, pink, black, gold and ivory ones.
Recent dresses I have designed.. :) I'm thinking of making a white kimono dress for myself.
Holy cow. Gorgeous dress! How long does one of these dresses take to make? How much do they run?
Your dresses are stunning! I love kimonos, they are such elegant and beautiful dresses. If I had even an ounce of Japanese blood I would use that as an excuse to wear one for my wedding! I can't help you too much with the color choice, I love them all!
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised after clicking onto this discussion...your work is GORGEOUS! I really like the red as a second color.
Wow, those dresses are amazing! I love how detailed and colorful they are. Those bows on the back of the dresses are beautiful!
Those dresses are absolutely stunning! Very different and yet at the same time, traditional. I would love to be able to wear something like that!
Whoa! I'm loving this! I love the idea of a white one--definitely brings the Japanese culture in with the style and the Western tradition of the all-white bridal gown!
I tried to wear my mom's Korean gown for prom but alas, it was much too small! I would have loooved to wear something cool like this! These are just gorgeous =]
Seriously, those are amazing... how much do they run?
and I never thought that something that was essentially the dreaded "butt bow" could look so amazing!!!
OMG These are GORGEOUS! I'd definitely want to wear it for my wedding, even though I am not Japanese. lol I'd want to wear it as one of the dresses during my reception. My favorite one is the all-white one - I LOVE the tubetop mermaid style. My favorite fabric is the the 3rd dress you posted, the one with the blck tube top, but I think I prefer it if the whole dress is made with the kimono fabric in that color. The colors are so rich and regal. I also love the 1st dress you posted. Ok, who am I kidding? I love them all!!!!!
Just looked at your prices... I can't afford them. *cries* But I LOVE these dresses. <3 <3 <3
Hi Bees! :)
Thanks SO much for all your comments!!! I just love love love kimonos and dresses. It's been my dream to make a fusion between those two and I think it came out great.
One thing I want to make clear, is that I never design kimono dresses just for Japanese customers. Almost half of my customers are from overseas and they look absolutely gorgeous in kimono dress. As for the price...well, we do have a list on our website but it's just a list. If I met someone who is really looking for a perfect kimono dress and loves it in the same way I do, then that's another story. Like my best friends (attached files)- don't they look amazing?
Oh that' a mess...Just ignore those previous comments...sry!

These dresses are stunning. I would be in awe if I went to a wedding and saw a bride wearing this. My eyes would never leave her.... Jaw dropping!!
annan, I think your dresses are lovely, but I also think you've crossed the line that says "do not blatantly promote your company."
Your dresses are amazing. I lived in Japan for 3 years as a child and our neighbors presented me with a beautiful formal kimono for my birthday, which I still have. I can't wear it, but I am thinking of a way to display it in our home. The colors are very similar to the first pic you posted. Beautiful!

I'm a kimono dress designer living in Kyoto, Japan. I love all kinds of dresses and am designing my own wedding dresses (we usually wear 2-3 dresses on the wedding in Japan). I am a Japanese American and my fiance is an Israeli Portuguese. We are thinking of having two wedding ceremonies in Portugal and Japan. I am planning to design two dresses, one in white and the other in red, orange, pink or purple. Which color do you think goes well with white? I would also like to know what you think about kimono dress. :)
