Hello Bees 🙂
So me and my FI are moving in soon and we are decorating our home from scratch. I wanted to do a vintage style living room and wanted to do something with vintage shutters. what do you think about those 2 ideas I attached. One being to put shutters on a wall making it seem like a house from the outside and the other one if for the ceiling but Im scared that it will make the room smaller and somehow crowded? what do you guys think?
thanks in advance

@myweddingbee: I wouldn’t do either, partially because I don’t ike things that gather dust.
Can you not just find a piece of art that you both love?

@myweddingbee: I think the wall art shutter idea is the best, so it doesn’t overwhelm.

The ceiling is a but much. I don’t think 1 or 2 shutters on the wall would be bad, just depends on te size of the room so it doesnt seem crowded.

@myweddingbee: I used to use an old shutter as a headboard, but just attached to the wall? Eh, I can find things I like better to hang up. Now if you wanted to use them as something (shelves, cabinet doors, hide a flat screen tv…) that would be cool.
