My FI is super secure.  I think that is the most attractive thing.  He is calm and never gets jealous, he really trusts me.  A close second would be confidence, followed by life skills.

    What do you all value?

He's calm, organized, takes charge of things. He's strong and independant, yet chooses to spend most of his time with me and is into small details that will make me feel special.
    He's also very secure.
He's got the nicest eyes, nice hands and shoulders, biker's legs... Handsome!

Intelligence. I’ve dated, booty-called, some dumb hotties, but never could date a man who couldn’t hold his own in serious conversations.

    Confidence. Ambition.

A nice set of broad shoulders doesn’t hurt either!

Oh i thought we were talking physical traits. I wanted to say 'arms and shoulders and upper back area' haha.

I don't really have one trait i find most attractive in a man. But i value intelligence and motivation

My fiance really respects other people (and animals), and as a result, he is NEVER mean or small.

That's probably #1.  My second favorite thing is his confidence in himself.  He knows his worth, but manages to have no ego about it.  I have no idea how he does that.  :)

@Virginia Marie: I wish I was turned on by my DH's work... He's a computer geek who loves star wars... Well, good thing he's got other things going on that do turn me on!

I love that my fiance has a tough exterior, but is really the sweetest, caring guy on the inside.  When you get a second to talk about something that he really loves with him, it's like he's a kid again.

I love that he will be an amazing father & I love that he loves me too!

I am glad we are all on the broad shoulders page. My boy has some very, very nice shoulders and a small waist, and it makes him look very triangular, which is super hot. Mmm.

    ANYWAY.

Haha. He is also really funny, which makes me very attracted to him.

Confidence, ambition/success, eyes/face.. Confidence is there or it's not. I can't take someone seriously if they are wishy washy.. I can be a little flighty myself so I don't want a partner that needs coddling. I say ambition/success not in a strictly $ way, but overall. Life is always about learning and growing, so someone that is lazy or is always trying to figure themselves out is a turn off.  And eyes / face - I like to feel engaged, and looking at attractiveness :) ha! I've only seriously dated one other person before my husband, and though he was handsome and smart, I was annoyed that he didn't have his life together (I was in school, while he had been graduated for a couple of years).  I felt he had so much potential, but that he was lazy and self indulgent. Like, it's great that you want to be in a band b/c you have talent, but shouldn't you get a big boy job first so you can pay your rent? I may be lazy too, but ends always meet and that's an important trait to me in a partner.

His caring eyes are what drew me to him. And he always had a way to make me laugh or smile (it was hard being mad at him when he needed the kick in the behind every now and then).

Oh yeah, when he repairs things, that's sexy, but all the gigabyte, DOS and Linux rocks talks... Not so much!!
When we started dating and were getting serious, he forced me to watch StarWars with him, and then, all excited, brought me to the guest bedroom and pulled out a ginormous bag of SW toys.. That's when I realized my boyfriend was sooo cool!!!

Haha, but I find it attractive that he can fix everything, and that he's not taking himself too seriously!

    3. His impecable relationships with other people (everyone who knows him likes and respects him, and he is loyal and kind to everyone)

    4. His respect for me

on the inside: i think a motivated, hard-working, secure man with a dedication to friends and family is the hottest thing ever.

FI totally caught my eye at work because of his motivated/hard-working mindset

physically/aesthetically: tall, dark, and handsome with a strong voice! ;) i'm def about the muscular/atheletic types. and a man who knows how to fix cars/do yardwork/setup electronics/etc. all the "stereotypical" man duties.

OH and FI is the sexiest when he's cooking! ;)

Intelligence for sure!  AND someone that isn't afraid to work.  I am with you on that -Melissabegins.  Even if there was some sort of mystical crash where every decent jobs disappeared- my man would go out there and start flipping burgers or raking lawns- not that he does that for a career- but he is motivated and will do anything to keep our family alive, happy, and well!  I LOVE that.  I have known intelligent and well educated men who's lives have not worked out exactly how they planned, and they have too much pride to continue on.  While I understand that, I really value that my man would be doing dishes if he had to- just to make ends meet.  I know this attitude will always make him a success.

You've gotta have brain, confidence/swagger and heart, as most of the poster have said above. But I'm a sucker for the triumvirate of a sexy smile, bright/quick eyes and the v-shaped body. Yum.

my thing is always when the guy loves other people. like, not love love, but i know N just loves to help people and would always choose to help someone else over himself.

that, and the guy has to be close to his family, because i think that's a great hint of what's to come.

I don't think I can choose one. What I admire most about my fiance is his genuine nature and his kindness. But I also couldn't be with someone that I didn't find intelligent or funny.

physical appearance: I too am on the shoulder wagon.

Intelligence, kindness, compassion, and a love for animals. I could NOT be with someone who was not all of those things. A sense of humor is so important, as well.

Also, this one is odd, but I couldn't be with someone who was really illogical/very emotional. My mom is that way (doesn't see things in terms of reason) and we fight like crazy because of it. I'm a very science-oriented person, so even though I don't mind people who refer to "fate" or "bad luck" or anything supernatural, etc. as my friends, I think it would bother me in my S.O.

there is really not something specific that i find attractive in a man. but i find a ton of things attractive about FI. for example: his back, his arms...yummy... but what is most attractive is how much he loves me and only me. i know that sounds kind of weird but i have never been wtih a guy who can honestly and truly be so focused on only one woman. I am very lucky! also, we constantly laugh and i love that. his humor is very attractive. oh and also his intelligence. he is an engineer so naturally he is very smart but he amazing me almost every day on his knowledge of so many things. it is highly attractive to me...hehe. it is nice to be able to ask a random question about almost anything and get the answer. its like googling but with out having to type...amazing! ahahaha

I will add a twist...the biggest turnoff-when he plays his stupid online games for hours and does not realize anything around him...like when 6 hours goes by or when it is 4am. i feel like that girl in that commercial a lot. haha!

The most attractive thing is his personality because it's so amazing his caring, loving, gentle, corny like me, can't dance like me.  We just click and get each other.  There is so much more but for now that i'll do.
