I love the look of black and white with little red details!
My colors are black and white- very similar to your inspiration board. I have a mish mosh of patterns and different ways to use it to make it more fun and less formal. I think black is a very classic color and perfect when paired with white or ivory. Definitely very elegant.
I'm doing white with green and black accents. Black looks good with everything (except maybe navy blue).
I've seen it done multiple times and think if you use the red for things like flowers it looks great. Black flowers would be a little morbid to me but black and white for decor and dresses is beautiful and classic.
Yes I was thinking of going with red roses, rather than a black flower.
If it's ALL black that's one thing, but with othe colors it makes it look simple and classy.
I love the black and white. I would get creative with textures though, Heres a link to a wedding I saw from a local photographer. I just love what they did for their wedding and they had only black and white.

@danielle.57809: I know me too. I have seen it at a couple of other wedding. That is what I want to do for mine. I think it would look awesome for yours if you're sticking with the white and black (if it will work... )
My sister did black and white for her wedding 10 years ago and it was beautiful and I think it is even more accepted and 'in fashion' now.
We're doing black, gold, and some other color. I do like how pink looks, but we aren't really "pink" people. We thought about sage green, but then that doesn't solve the flower dilemma :-).
I loveeeeee black and white for a wedding. I think it can be done so perfectly. I think adding a splash of another color couldnt help but I think it is very class and elegant.
Mine is black, red and purple. Of course mine is a gothic ceremony so that kinda fits in.
I personally think black should be kept out of wedding colors--especially if it is used in large quantities like for the bridesmaid dresses--because it reminds me of funerals.
I went to a wedding that used black very badly once, which may also have something to do with my dislike for the color. They used black plastic table cloths that looked like trash bags.
@Oribel013690: I totally agree!
I just don't think black always adds the "class" factor that many people seem to think it does. Not that black isn't a classy color, of course, but I just think there are other ways to achieve a sleek, classy effect without the use of it. I've just personally never liked it as a wedding color.
Most of my wedding will be black with the other accent colors. I feel like it really shouldn't matter because people use Calla Lilies for wedding and they are also funeral flowers.
I wouldn't like black as the only color, but I adore black when mixed with another splash of color! The gold and red you suggested will make it very elegant! :)
I love black for a wedding, I think its classic and elegant. I am using black, ivory and platinum for our colors. My inspiration board is similar to yours and I even have the same bouquet picture in mine. We are having a black tie evening wedding and I think it works just perfectly.
I like it so much that I'm using it! Our wedding colors are teal and black. Even my BM dresses are black. I think it is a really pretty and elegant color.
I think it's fabulous, but I could be biased.... we did black, white and red. LOVED it.
It looked very classy.
i love black & white for a wedding! i'm doing black, white (damask), & hot pink for my colors!
Black is just fine as a wedding colour. I find it nice. I dont get why people complain about black? They compare it to funerals. Well have you been to a pink, pink PINK themed wedding latley with pink everywhere? That's something to complain about.. it's like a sweet 16 party insted of a wedding.

I sat down to look at colors for our wedding and Black seemed to look quite elegant. I am also going to be using Gold and Red details to break up the Black a bit. Has anyon else seen or used Black as a wedding color just wondering what it will look like put together?
